A Global Religious System will be an integral part of Antichrist’s Tribulational Reign. And Pope Francis continues to abandon biblical doctrine and promote that outcome. He recently called on “brothers and sisters of all religious traditions, pray in a day of prayer and fasting, of penance, called by the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity. Each of us prays … united in the brotherhood that unites us in this moment of pain and tragedy.” Realizing he would get some pushback, the Pope went on. “Perhaps there will be someone who will say: ‘This is religious relativism and it cannot be done.’ But how can we not pray to the Father of all?” As the Catholic News Agency reported, “Everyone prays as he knows, how he can, as he has received from his own culture. We are not praying against each other, this religious tradition against this, no. We are all united as human beings, as brothers, praying to God, according to our culture, according to our own tradition, according to our beliefs, but brothers and praying to God.”[i] Of course, if we’re using the Scriptures as our plumb line, this overtly contradicts the principles of the Christian Faith. This prayer initiative was the work of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, formed in conjunction with the UAE, an Islamic state. But the Muslim view of God precludes the recognition and worship as the Son of God, a necessary condition of salvation and our relationship with God. 1John 5:12 reads: “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” Jesus then is the ‘condition without which….’ There’s more. Here’s John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” And He’s the ONLY WAY, the exclusive path to communion with the Father. So any religious worldview that denies the divinity of Jesus is inherently wrong. That’s not intolerant in a subjective sense. It is logically intolerant because TRUTH is intolerant of error. The Apostle Paul warns us regarding spiritual fellowship with unbelievers. “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God.” Since we are “temples of the living God,” let’s recognize that we have a unique relationship with the Father and the Son through the Holy Spirit – (that is available to all, should they seek it) – and let’s start to live that way.
