That is the whole game. The Deep State assisted by the mainstream media will spin any lie, twist any fact, deny any truth to take down the President. This will have to be brief. Here are some examples. Reuters reported “Trump campaign had at least 18 undisclosed contacts with Russians” But buried in the story is this little nugget. “The people who described the contacts to Reuters said they had seen no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion between the campaign and Russia in the communications.”[i] So there’s nothing really there except a new club to bash Trump with. Point 2. The New York Times ran a story saying that Comey wrote a memo that President Trump asked him to squash the Flynn investigation. Yet just earlier in the month, on May 2, Comey testified to Congress. “It would be a big deal to tell the FBI to stop doing something that — without an appropriate purpose. … I’m talking about a situation where we were told to stop something for a political reason, that would be a very big deal. It’s not happened in my experience.”[ii] So he’s either lying about the memo – or he lied to Congress. Finally, the third example. May 15th headline in the Washington Post: “Trump revealed highly classified information to Russian foreign minister and ambassador.”[iii] But that was categorically denied by 3 high ranking US security officials including Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. National Security Advisor HR McMaster said this: “The story that came out tonight as reported is false. The president and the foreign minister reviewed a range of common threats to our two countries, including threats to civil aviation. At no time, at no time, were intelligent sources or methods discussed. And the president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly known. ….I was in the room. It didn’t happen.”[iv] These are all just examples of the media using fake news to try to make the case for impeachment.
