UKRAINIAN WAR UPDATE – Going to hit this quickly. [Look to Ukrainian War story above if you haven’t seen the emergency update podcast.]

• We know the Ukrainians launched a surprise and somewhat successful attack on the Russian nuclear bombers. They claimed 40 destroyed.  After checking further reports the actual number might be a dozen or perhaps 15 – still a significant strike.
• The Big Question was did the US know and when. It seems likely that elements within the American Intelligence Community must have known.  It is also likely that President  Trump was kept out of the loop.  [He’s not part of their club, you know.]
• But why were the Russian bombers sitting in side by side on runways. That’s part of the treaty arrangements so the US & Russia can know that the other side is not planning a sneak attack.  It is part of the mechanism that contributes to peace between the US & Russia.
• However, the Ukrainians are not interested in peace. They are moving to provoke the Russians into a retaliatory attack that will be so egregious that it will bring the West ….NATO / America into the fight.  And it was launched just before the peace talks were to take place to sabotage those talks.
• So, Ukrainian has continued to strike deep into Russia, even as their main front folds. They conducted major strikes on Moscow, Crimea and the Kerch Bridge connecting Crimea to the rese of Russia.

• 

  Putin has now commenced launching retaliatory attacks – including a massive strike against Ukraine.  Russian plans may include attacks against critical infrastructure that would take down all power generation in parts of Ukraine, something the Russians – [to my amazement] – have not done up until this point.

• Moscow retaliatory attack were a success. The data reveals that the “wave of missile strikes appears to have been highly effective, with most missiles reaching their intended targets and only a small fraction intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses.”
• Now, on Friday morning, June 6, the Kremlin has declared Ukraine to be an “existential threat” to the Russian state. Hal Turner: “According to Russian military doctrine, which is long published and well known, an ‘existential threat’ is cause to use nuclear weapons.  NATO has long made clear that if Russia uses a nuclear weapon in Ukraine, and the radiation drifts across the border of a NATO member country, NATO will view the radiation as an ‘attack’ by Russia, against NATO.  They will invoke Article 5, collective self defense against Russia.”
• The National Security Journal is now admitting that Russia has won this war. Further combat is a lost cause.  “The war in Ukraine is effectively over, with Russia on a clear path to achieving its objectives through a grinding war of attrition that has exhausted Ukraine and outlasted Western and NATO resolve.  -Russia’s military has adapted, its economy has been reoriented away from the West despite sanctions, and its political regime under Putin remains stable. In contrast, Ukraine faces a critical and irreversible manpower crisis that no amount of Western hardware can solve….. Ukraine’s strategic position is deteriorating by the month. Mobilization efforts have stalled. Recruitment has collapsed. The average age of a frontline soldier is now nearing 45. Desertion and draft-dodging are spreading, and Western aid – though still flowing – is increasingly mismatched to Ukraine’s real needs. You can send as many artillery shells and drone kits as you like, but you cannot manufacture trained infantry out of nothing.”[i]
• Even the successful drone attack will not reverse the course of the war. “. The question is no longer how to defeat Russia, but how to limit the damage of a war we have already lost in everything but name.”
• The drone attack may have actually contributed to the defeat of the Ukrainian war effort. “President Donald Trump is reported to be ‘outraged’ by Ukraine’s strikes last weekend, on one leg of Russia’s nuclear triad; their strategic bombers. The White House CONFIRMS it is considering ending support for Kyiv….
• The attack caused anger in the White House which was, apparently, ‘kept-out-of-the-loop’ by Ukraine. This deliberate move to conceal information from Kiev’s largest benefactor has triggered a new wave of debate over the advisability of further support for Kyiv…. According to The Atlantic, Trump has been in private conversations with advisers and expressed deep dissatisfaction that Ukraine had taken such a step without coordinating with the United States.”  Earlier in the week it was reported that a Ukrainian delegation visiting Washington had been told that the US was done supporting the war and that they must bring the conflict to an end.[ii]

We are witnessing a fine balance between possibly, the impetus for peace in this conflict – and the danger of it breaking out into a full-scale nuclear war.

TRADE TRUCE WITH CHINA – President Trump announced a trade deal with China.  There is still a lot to be worked out.  The sticking point is rare earth minerals and the technical teams of both countries will be working out the details.[iii]  Meanwhile, imports are significantly down and  could result in supply chain hiccups.

ANTI-SEMITISM ON THE RISE – A couple of headlines from Rapture Ready.

Germany records a 77% increase in antisemitism, majority of Jew-hatred is Israel-linked 
A record number of 8,627 antisemitic incidents were recorded in Germany in 2024, a whopping 77% increase compared to 2023, according to RIAS, a watchdog organization that monitors antisemitism in Germany. The number included 186 physical attacks and 8 severe assault incidents.

Surge of antisemitic incidents rocks France amid growing security concerns
France has been hit by a wave of antisemitic incidents in recent days, despite increased security at Jewish sites nationwide following last month’s antisemitic shooting in Washington, DC — prompting urgent calls from the country’s Jewish community for stronger government action amid growing fears of escalating violence.

Add that to what we’re seeing in the US with the murder of the couple in Washington and the Molotov Cocktail event in Boulder.  This is exactly what the Bible said would be happening in the End Times.
