It has been a wild ride in the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. Since October 8, 2023, the terror group has been sending rockets after civilian areas in northern Israel. Tens of thousands of Israelis have been evacuated. In the last week or so, the tide has begun to turn. It began with the pager attack. Pagers used by Hezbollah operatives all blew up simultaneously injuring at least 3,000. The next day walkie-talkies were targeted. That was followed by a strike on the senior leadership of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, including the top guys and about 20 commanders. The Radwan Force is considered a “terror death squad” with links to Iran.[i] It was planning a surprise attack similar to the Hamas raid of October 7. The two attacks were to be conducted simultaneously. Hamas jumped the gun and went it alone.
But Israel didn’t stop there. The IAF began conducting hundreds of raids of Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon on a daily basis. Then came the big one. Israel found out where Hezbollah’s supreme leader was hiding. He had built his HQ underneath an apartment building in Beirut, Lebanon. On Friday, September 27, the Israeli Air Force sent jets to drop multiple 2,000 lb bunker-buster bombs to take him out. The raid was successful. From Amir Tsarfati: “The attack was carried out while the top brass of Hezbollah were at the headquarters and engaged in coordinating terrorist activities against the citizens of the State of Israel.” The Israelis used Prime Minister Netanyahu’s trip to New York for his appearance at the UN as a diversion to convince Nasrallah he would be safe while Bibi was in New York. “During the 32 years of the terrorist Hassan Nasrallah’s tenure as the leader of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, he was responsible for the murder of many Israeli civilians and soldiers, and for the planning and execution of thousands of terrorist acts against the State of Israel and around the world. Nasrallah was the main decision-maker and the sole approver of strategic-systemic decisions, and sometimes also tactical decisions in the organization.” At first there were several reports that denied that Nasrallah had been killed. Then came the official announcement. “The party of God (Hezb-Allah) announces the martyrdom of the secretary general, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah”
Iran’s Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei weighed in. Hezbollah hoped for tangible support from its’ terror sponsors in Tehran. It does not appear that that will be forthcoming. “The Zionist criminals should know that they are too small to cause significant damage to Hezbollah in Lebanon.” All the resistance forces in the region stand by Hezbollah and support them. The fate of the region will be determined by the resistance forces.” Amir Tsarfati gave his interpretation of what that statement actually means. “In his announcement that Hezbollah is strong and will be able to stand up to Israel, Khamenei is simply informing Hezbollah that they are alone. Because they are strong and a strong organization does not need military help from others. As I have always said: the Arabs are merely Iran’s cannon fodder, and it will only respond militarily to a direct attack on it, as was the case with the attack on the embassy in Damascus, which is considered official Iranian territory.”[ii]
[This seems to fit right in line with biblical prophecy. Many scholars believe that the next war on the docket will be the Psalm 83 War. That scripture talks about an attack of the inner-ring of Arab states coming against Israel in the Last Days. Iran (Persia) is NOT mentioned in that prophecy. Combined with other scriptures (Isaiah 17 & Obadiah 1) we know that Israel wins a big victory in that conflict, expanding its’ present territory. That in turn, serves as the set-up for the Gog / Magog invasion described in Ezekiel 38 &39. In that second war, the invaders come after Israel when it is living in peace, a land of “unwalled villages.” In addition, the nations mentioned include those of an outer ring of Islamic states – not peoples contiguous to the Jewish State. Using the ancient name of Persia, Iran is included among the nations attacking Israel found in Ezekiel. Other nations mentioned here include Russia, Turkey and Libya. And importantly, none-of the inner ring of Arab states are mentioned among those in the Magog Alliance…..Just saying!]Now, perhaps surprisingly to some, the Arab world is NOT up in arms about the Israeli actions. Iran is not Arab and they belong to the Shiite branch of Islam. Hezbollah is Arabic but are also Shiites. Most of the Arab world is Sunni, and there is no love lost between the two branches. Tsarfati reports: “Dancing and joy all over the Sunni world, and here in free Idlib, northern Syria. The Sunni rebels celebrate, realizing that the Shiites were left unprotected (Hezbollah is being eliminated).”
