Last time we began our review of 2015, looking especially at the news through a prophetic lens. We spoke of the advance of the Gay Agenda and the sea change that represents. The legalization of same-sex marriage and the massive swing in public opinion toward acceptance of deviant lifestyles mark a turning point in Western culture. So too, the continued institutionalization of legalized abortion is an indicator of a society in moral decline. Thus we continue our review.
WHERE WE’VE BEEN – 2
“You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.” (Psalm 91:5-8)
ISIS: The Terror Machine
Just the existence of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is probably the major news story of 2015. It is pregnant with prophetic implications. The darkness and duplicity of the story soils more than just the brutal Islamic fighters that comprise the group. As noted here before, the US was complicit in the creation of the terror organization. Michael T Flynn is the retired chief of the DIA, the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency. Earlier this year he reavealed that Pentagon officials made a “willful decision” – in the words of the Mint Press – “to support al-Qaeda affiliated jihadists in Syria — despite being warned by the DIA that doing so would likely create an ‘ISIS’-like entity in the region.” Flynn asserts “that the rise of ISIS was a direct consequence of US support for Syrian insurgents whose core fighters were from al-Qaeda in Iraq.” All the way back in 2012, the White House and the Pentagon “knew that the US-backed Syrian insurgency was dominated by Islamist militant groups including ‘the Salafists, the Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaeda in Iraq.’”
But in the interest of taking out President Assad of Syria, they decided that it was a good idea to coordinate arms transfersrs to those groups. Our intelligence wasn’t faulty. Rather, their hearts were black. Thus came into existence an orgaization that systematically murdered Christians in the region, beheaded its perceived enemies – civilians included – and with theological justification, carried out the systematic rape of non-Muslim women and children it encountered.[i]
But the US refused to go after them. Why? Because they were part of our policy – our strategy to get our way in the Middle East. And it was not about taking out Assad because he was a really bad guy. Assad is no angel, but Christians under his rule were relativley safe and there was no institutionalized rape going on. NO, this was about a new oil pipeline to Europe to rival or replace the Russian one – and more importatntly a new vision that Washington has for the Middle East. Back in the early days of this century the Pentagon had taken upon itself the task of redesigning the Middle East; never mind what the countries involved would have to say abut it. And according to General Wesley Clark, among others, that’s exactly why we went to war with who we did after 911. It was all about remaking the world – and especially the Middle East – according to the image the Pentagon Brass – influenced by the Global Elite – had fashioned for themselves.
You’ll notice that there are several significant changes the US is trying to engineer. These include an Iraq that is divided into three states; Kurdish, Sunni and Shia. Yemen would be expanded and an “Islamic Sacred State” would be created that would effectively rip the Muslim holy sites from the control of the Saudis, who would lose a great deal of territory in the deal. So one can see why other interested parties, such as the Russians, would feel the need to weigh in on the process.
This explains to a great degree why the US war against ISIS was a complete sham. We weren’t going to take out our allies in the fight against Assad. Instead there would be a few ‘show bombings’ – with warnings where possible – and ‘Don’t worry boys, we’ll still find a way to supply you – so you can keep fighting our fight. And then when we’re through with you, we’ll take you out just like we did Osama bin Laden and the Taliban who helped us so much by chasing the Russians out of Afghanistan back in the days of Zbigniew Brzezinski and President Carter.’[ii]
Then Enter the Turks – Then add in this crazy twist. Turkey is complicit in the whole matter. The latest story surfacing is that the Turks under Erdogan has been working the oil angle for the NATO allies – or at least the US – all along. In other words, ISIS steal the oil resources – load them in tankers – and drive it to Turkey where it is moved to market with the profits going to both ISIS – and Turkey. In the process it is supporting America’s ally – (no, not NATO ally Turkey – but rather our new friend, ISIS – the child-rapers / Christian-beheaders) – and financing their war against Assad. The problem however is the Russians. The Russkies, who’ve got a lot of Muslims in former Soviet states sitting on their border – decided it wasn’t a good idea to let them becmome more radicalized – and besides that, a new American-sponsored pipeline would steal Russian business – and prevent them from playing the energy balckmail card with Western Europe – figures it should start taking out those oil convoys. So they did. And in front of the world, kinda showed the US how to deal with terrorists. So….the Obama administration had to start making a better show at least of taking on ISIS.
Exporting the Terror via Invasion
Now, just like al-Qaida, ISIS didn’t want to keep all the terror it was spreading all to itself. It wants to share. So it is likely that ISIS was behind the downing of the civilian Russian airliner in the region. They were also behind the planning of the terror attacks in Paris[iii] that killed dozens as well as the attackin Beirut. But the real story is that thousands of terrorists affiliated with ISIS and other radical-militant-Muslim groups have infiltrated the tens of thousands of Syrian refugees that are invading Europe.
This Islamic invasion is changing the character of Europe. Rape and violence are by-products of the refugee crisis. Muslim refugees are bringing this culture to the European countries that are taking them in. But it does not seem to be limited to the temporary nature of unsettled conditions that accompany a mass migration. The Gatestone Institute reports: “Forty years after the Swedish parliament unanimously decided to change the formerly homogenous Sweden into a multicultural country, violent crime has increased by 300% and rapes by 1,472%…. In an astounding number of cases, the Swedish courts have demonstrated sympathy for the rapists, and have acquitted suspects who have claimed that the girl wanted to have sex with six, seven or eight men.”[iv] In that country, a Somalian was apprehnded by police after raping one woman to death. “The woman died while being raped. Police say the perpetrator continued to rape the woman’s corpse well after she had died. The Somalian was apprehended by police while still in the act.”[v] This is not limited to Sweden but rather becoming the norm in Britain, Germany and across the Continent.
Even without the violence and the gang rapes and the societal alterations the influx of refugees has created an unsustainable crisis. Old Europe can hardly sustain itself against this influx of religiously homogeneous foreigners, opposed to all things European and Christian – and bent upon maintaining their own cultural norms. The numbers are enormous – and curiously comprised of an inordinate majority of military-agedmales. The enteering hordes have created a logistical nightmare. But that’s only the surface issue. Native European society has been adrift for decades. It is religiously confused and morally shallow – and without a wholesale re-commitment to either Nationalism – (and we see what that brought in the 1930s & 40s) – or God – has not the staying power to resist. Still many of Europe’s leaders continue to embrace the refugees as does President Obama in the United States. This holds true even as government officials admit that they have no way of effectively vetting the refugees and that as many as 10 % of them may be radicalized. We saw that failure in San Bernadio when government screening policies failed to catch the tell-tale signs that would have kept at least one of the perpetrators of that attack out of the country. Thus the West is opening itself up for both terror and institutional cultural changes that it has not bargained for.
One such change is the increase in terrror-related incidents a la Fort Hood in 2009. In that one, a Muslim and Army Major, jumped up on a table, yelled “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is greater) and starting shooting his fellow servicemen. Also in 2009, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, shot up a recruiting station in Little Rock, Arkansas, killing one. In May of this year, two Muslims attackers were shot dead by security personnel while attempting a terror attack on a contest in Garland Texas. Then in July, Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez “unleashed a barrage of gunfire at two military facilities” killing 4 Marines.[vi] In October, a shooter invaded the campus of Umpqua College in Oregon, asking students their religion and murdering the Christians with comments like: “‘Good, because you’re a Christian, you are going to see God in just about one second.”[vii] Authorities deny that there was a terror connection here but a social media post makes the connection. The shooter, Chris Harper Mercer was on MySpace but made “only two connections one of which is a man named Mahmoud Ali Ehsani. Ehsani published a photo album titled, ‘Classic – The Mujahideen Collection LOL,’ featuring Islamic terrorists from several countries, including Palestine, Iran, and Pakistan, among others. One caption reads: my brave soldiers keep on fighting for the liberation of Palestine against Israel. F— israel. Kill the jews. jews are the only infidels.’”[viii] Maybe not a solid connection there – but we see the culture death gaining a foothold in American / Western society. Look at some of the words and phrases the Apostle Paul uses to describe the society of the Last Days in his second letter to Timothy. “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good.” (2Timothy 3:1-3) The shooting in Oregon was followed by Beirut and Paris and San Bernadino. And there was this follow-up event occurring in France, just before Christmas. “A driver screaming ‘Allahu Akbar!’ (Arabic for ‘God is great’) appeared to deliberately mow down about a dozen pedestrians in the French city of Dijon.” Yet the Western nations are for the most part blind to the ultimate source, divorced from God and His Laws and feckless in their attempts to protect citizens from violence and what survives of their Judeo-Christian cultures from destruction. It is a sad place to which we have fallen.
