ECONOMIC ANTI-SEMITISM – Influenced by significant, growing and vocal Muslim populations, Britain and the nations of Europe have been engaged in a growing boycott of Israel. Now this phenomenon is spreading to other parts of the globe. Israel’s YNet News reports: “European banks are cutting ties with Israeli counterparts, while supermarkets across the world are appeasing violent protesters who attack their Israeli produce.” It’s all about the Palestinian thing. Companies and nations involved in these boycotts are driven by the belief that Israel is practicing a form of apartheid vis-à-vis the Palestinians and that Israel is an ‘occupier’ in what is rightfully Palestinian territory. And now there is a “violent dimension” taking hold. “Shopkeepers in Australia have received death threats for continuing to sell goods from Israel; pro-Palestinian students in Australia have staged loud demonstrations at shopping malls at which owners of stalls selling Ahava products from the Dead Sea were assaulted;[and] Israeli commercial ships have been detained at various North American ports.”[i] In South Africa over 10,000 students marched against Woolworths trade with Israel.[ii] This is all part of something called the BDS Movement, which is aimed at ending the “Israeli occupation and colonization of Palestinian land.”[iii] The phenomenon is even beginning to spread to American campuses, in the process exhibiting quite the violent bent. Mosaic Magazine reported on several attacks against Jewish students or their supporters on several campuses, including Temple and Ohio University. And in Boston, “police had to protect a student rally for Israel from pro-Palestinian mobs shouting ‘Jews back to Birkenau!’” – [Birkenau is of course one of the infamous Nazi death camps of World War II.] “Every year, some 200 campuses now host a multiday hate-the-Jews fest, its malignancy encapsulated in its title: ‘Israel Apartheid Week.’”[iv] And in bastions of liberal-education such as UCLA and Stanford, student governments are also getting in the act, vetting their prospective members to ensure that they have the politically correct anti-Israeli views, including expressing support of the anti-Israel boycott movement.[v] The Bible tells us that in the Last Days, all the world will turn against Israel.
BREAKING UP IRAQ – Iraq has been in a state of civil war ever since the American invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein. Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish forces all took part in this remarkably horrific exercise. The latest has seen incredible gains by the horrifically violent ISIS replete with their wanton slaughter of not only Christians – but also those Muslims who are not ‘Muslim enough.’ Now, as 22 nations of the Arab League meet in Paris to discuss actions to be taken to stop ISIS,[vi] calls are going out to divide Iraq – which encompasses parts of the ancient empires of Assyria, Media and Babylon – into three parts. The Middle East’s Rudaw News argues that “Iraq can only survive if it effectively has three armies: the Kurdish Peshmerga, a new official Sunni battalion and a Shiite force.”[vii] That is exactly the division anticipated and promoted by the Pentagon since the beginning of this century. Thomas Barnett is the author of The Pentagon’s New Map, which envisioned a “Functioning Core” of nations (US, EU, Russia, China & the Pacific Rim countries), that will lead the way to a globalized New World Order. He advocates the application of force by a US-led global army to bring the rest of the non-cooperating world along. Douglas Hagmann of Northeast Intelligence believes we are witnessing “one of the most significant geopolitical events of the last century;” an event that is setting the stage for the onset of the next great war; the one that is intended to usher in the New World Order. This part of the ongoing play began with the Arab Spring, another event ‘arranged’ by Western intelligent services. “It was neither spontaneous nor engineered at the hands of lovers of freedom.” The murder of Ambassador Stevens and the events at Benghazi were a part of that same drama.[viii] [ix] America’s hand in creating the ISIS monster was not accidental – and it is serving a very important purpose. It has become a tool of chaos, creating the conditions necessary for the remaking of the Middle East map into the very image proposed by the Pentagon’s New Map a decade or so ago. Taking advantage of a power vacuum created by the changing military situation on the ground, the Kurds – (descended from the ancient Medes) – who have maintained a semi-autonomous region since the Gulf War ended in 1991 – have set up shop in the north of the country.[x] That sets up the stage for the prophetic final destruction of Babylon at the hands of the Medes, a prophecy found in Isaiah 13. (The site of ancient Babylon is found in Iraq – not far from Baghdad. It was being rebuilt by Saddam Hussein.) It was partially realized in ancient times – yet awaits its final fulfillment during the Tribulation. “Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them… And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, The beauty of the Chaldeans’ pride, Will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. It will never be inhabited, Nor will it be settled from generation to generation.” (Isaiah 13:17, 19-20)
