Our Earth may have a date with destiny! I mean, in a spiritual sense we certainly do. God has ordained it so. But we may soon see the corporeal reality of this appointment coming to pass. It is coming in the form of an asteroid called Apophis. Depending who you believe it is due to make a very near pass or possibly actually hit the earth on April 13, 2029. We’ll get to the spiritual significance of that date in a bit further on. But even if the pass with Apophis is a near miss, our planet will be passing through its’ million mile long tail of debris which could pepper the earth with space junk. And that could set in motion the onset of many of the judgments found in the Book of Revelation. A supernaturally arranged unfolding of natural events – scientifically explainable events – that would fulfill the prophecies of the Bible’s final book. So then, should this Apophis asteroid react as predicted, it could serve as the key to understanding the timing and reasons for the judgements found in the Book of Revelation.
But first, let’s detour by talking about the year 2025. Why 2025? Because three-and-one-half years before the appearance near pass of Apophis – it will become visible in the sky. And that will bring with it a host of changes. The vast majority of the Earth’s population will become aware of it as a threat. That year has gained lots of attention in recent decades. It was 1997 when William Strauss & Neil Howe wrote a book that promoted a Generational Theory of History that has proved to be spot on, in so many ways since its’ publication. Their book was titled, The Fourth Turning: An American Prophecy. It had the subtitle, “What the Cycles of History Tell Us About America’s Next Rendezvous with Destiny.” Their thesis is that every 80 years or so, the US faces another major defining crisis that threatens the existence of – and ultimately redefines the nation. Examples in the past have included the American Revolution, the Civil War – and the Great Depression / World War II era. According to their cycle view of history we are poised to work through another such existential crisis. Writing in the 90s, Strauss & Howe concluded that this next crisis would come to a head sometime around 2025.
Let’s stop there for a moment and take a side trip to Deagel, a think tank with connections to the US Intel Community. Deagel projects that by the middle of this decade the population of the US will stand at 100 million, down from around 330 million. They are also anticipating a massive drop in GDP and military expenditures. We must always keep in mind that massive depopulation is the goal of the New World Order. Now back to our regular programming.
In their work, Strauss & Howe looked at the patterns of history through the last 5 centuries and discovered, in the words of Tom Horn, “generational archetypes that reveal an astoundingly prescient pattern of incidents that ultimately lead to chaos and a so-called Fourth Turning.” We’re talking about Zeitgeist here, which is defined by Webster as the “spirit or mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time.” Strauss & Howe describe each “Turning” as a “characteristic social mood (a zeitgeist), a new twist on how people feel about themselves and their nation. It results from the aging of the generation [before it].” That turning would occur about every 20 years as generations move into their next phase of life and the one behind them moves into their spot. “The living generations, or saeculae, comprise four cyclical Turnings, characterized as:
- The First Turning (THE HIGH): An era of enthusiastic collective strengthening and civic development, having burned the brush and swept the ashes of preceding structure.
The Second Turning (THE AWAKENING): Built on the energies and accomplishments of the High, but finds increasing yearning for introspection with a high tolerance for spiritual expression outside the parameters of predetermined standards.- The Third Turning (THE UNRAVELING): Begins as the “society-wide embrace of the liberating cultural forces” loosed by the Awakening shows signs of civic disorder and decay, a heightened sense of self-reliance, and an increasing withdrawal of public trust. This builds to a near crisis of downcast pessimism and a palpable pall that can only be remedied by yielding to the next.
- The Fourth Turning (THE CRISES and the era we have now entered): By far, the most perilous, as societies pass through the greatest and most dangerous gates of history. As desperate solutions are sought for ‘sudden threats’ on multiple cultural fronts, confrontation is passionate and decisions are often reactive, aggressive. ‘Government governs, community obstacles are removed, and laws and customs that resisted change for decades are swiftly shunted aside. A grim preoccupation with civic peril causes spiritual curiosity to decline.… Public order tightens, private risk-taking abates, and…child-rearing reaches a smothering degree of protection and structure. The young focus their energy on worldly achievements, leaving values in the hands of the old. Wars are fought with fury and for maximum result.’”[i]
Now the authors didn’t just predict chaos. They actually got quite specific regarding the possible dangers. Here’s some of what they projected as possible scenarios. Remember, this was done in 1997.
- “A terrorist attack, involving an airliner, portable nuclear devices, a military response, authorization for house to house searches and false flag accusations against the administration.”
- “Eco-environmental malaise with the Centers for Disease Control announcing the spread of a new communicable virus with quarantines and relocations.”
- World-wide anarchy with debilitating chaos.[ii]
Then Strauss & Howe predicted that shortly after the beginning of the New Millennium, “Real hardship will beset the land, with severe distress that could involve questions of class, race, nation, and empire.” And then they offered this.
“Sometime before the year 2025, America will pass through a great gate in history, commensurate with the American Revolution, Civil War, and twin emergencies of the Great Depression and World War II. ‘The risk of catastrophe will be very high. The nation could erupt into insurrection or civil violence, crack up geographically, or succumb to authoritarian rule. If there is a war, it is likely to be one of maximum risk and efforts — in other words, a TOTAL WAR.’”[iii]
2025, it seems is a prophetically remarkable year, at least in prognostication circles. Tom Horn reveals how “the Essenes of Dead Sea Scrolls fame were only one of the ancient prophecy communities to predict more than two thousand years ago that mankind would indeed enter its final age (Jubilee cycle) four years from now, in 2025.” He goes on to point out that that precisely three-and-one-half years before NASA & other astronomers tell us that the asteroid Apophis is predicted to make a near-miss, or actually hit the earth – [depending on who you listen to] – which would, in Mr Horn’s view, be the “biblical Wormwood and therefore 2029 represents a time around the middle of the Great Tribulation period when the trumpet judgments begin, Monday, October 13, 2025 (April 13, 2029, minus three and a half years), would be the approximate start date of the seven years of Tribulation foreseen in Scripture.”[iv] [Not exactly date setting, but getting as near it as one can possibly get.]
This “Tribulation” was spoken of by Jesus Himself. “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” (Matthew 24:21) It is indeed a time of trouble involving primarily the nation of Israel, but extending out to the entire world. However, this will also be a time of victory for those found to be in Christ. Daniel the prophet wrote, “At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book.” (Daniel 12:1)
Now Tom Horn points out that the Essenes, the ancient community that gave us the Dead Sea Scrolls, and who he calls “the most accurate Hebrew prophets of all time,” also believed that “this final age of man” would manifest in the year 2025. A more modern nod to that year can be found in a 2010 document produced by the Atlantic Council as well as government organizations from the US, Europe, China, Japan and Dubai among others. It was titled Global Governance 2025: At A Critical Juncture. Horn writes, “In this document, the highest-level intelligence agencies in the world determined that a global government could emerge around 2025 from ‘an unprecedented threat’ that would materialize requiring all nations to lay down their differences and come together in mutual defense of one another against an unprecedented ‘menace.’” The Global Governance 2025 document specifically mentioned an incoming asteroid as a possible “menace.” But one too could imagine the ‘revelation’ of the ‘reality’ of a superior alien civilization or the decimation of the world through plagues and vaccines as being reasons to call for a re-organization of the Global Order. Suffice it to say, we can all feel the impending crisis unfolding as we witness the events of our day.
So why this sense of crisis based on 2025. Because that is precisely when Apophis will become visible. The threat will become palpable, named for the Egyptian deity of Evil, Darkness and Death. A populist drive will emerge to find some overriding authority that can navigate emerging hyper-crisis. And this will occur, as it happens, exactly three-and-one-half years before Apophis will arrive. The governments of the planet have been planning for its’ possible strike now for at least a couple of decades. They believe that Global Government has to be in place by 2025 for what they are calling Planetary Defense.[v] Interestingly, the timing of Apophis appearance and near pass has amazing potential biblical implications. We’ll be unpacking that next.
