OK! So I know we talked about this before –but it’s kind of big stuff. So we’re going to hit it again. Right now – [and it’s not being reported by the mainstream media] – there is a giant ‘military exercise’ going on in Saudi Arabia. Three-hundred-fifty thousand troops from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Pakistan, Bahrain, Sudan, Kuwait, Tunisia, Oman, Qatar, Malaysia and more are gathered in northern Saudi territory. They have with them 20,000 tanks, over 2,400 planes, over 450 helicopters, and they’re all just…..practicing, for 18 days, that will end at just about the end of the month.[i]
So what’s the big deal about a military exercise, you ask. Let’s break it down. It starts with this. The Saudis are Sunni and the Iranians are Shia – and as we’ve seen in Iraq, they don’t seem to place nice together. Now Syria is backed by Iran who is backed by Russia who want the use of the Syrian ports as an entrance into the Mediterranean. And the Saudis have their cadre of Gulf States that support them and are allies of the US. Now both America and the House of Saud have been angling and working toward the ouster of President Assad of Syria. Here’s Michael Snyder to take us a little deeper.
“This will be the largest military exercise in the history of the region, and it comes amid rumors that Saudi Arabia and Turkey are preparing for a massive ground invasion of Syria. If you were going to gather forces for an invasion, this is precisely how you would do it….. If these exercises are actually being used as an excuse to mass forces near the northern Saudi border, then we should expect an invasion to begin within the next couple of weeks. If it happens, we should expect to see the Saudi coalition storm through western Iraq and into Syria from the south, and it is likely that Turkey will come in from the north. The goal would be to take out the Assad regime before Russia, Iran and Hezbollah could react. For the past couple of years, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and their allies have been funding the Sunni insurgency in Syria, and they were counting on those insurgents to be able to take down the Assad regime by themselves. You see, the truth is that ISIS was never supposed to lose in Syria. Saudi Arabia and her allies have been funneling massive amounts of money to ISIS, and hundreds of millions of dollars of ISIS oil has been shipped into Turkey where it is sold to the rest of the world. The major Sunni nations wanted ISIS and the other Sunni insurgent groups to take down Assad. In the aftermath, Saudi Arabia and her allies intended to transform Syria into a full-blown Sunni nation. But then Russia, Iran and Hezbollah stepped forward to assist the Assad regime. Russian air support completely turned the tide of the war, and now the Sunni insurgents are on the brink of losing.”[ii]
According to one Saudi military spokesman, an invasion of Syria was both “final” and “irreversible.” This despite warnings from Syria, Russia and Iran.[iii] In fact, everyone seems to be warning everyone else. In addition, the Saudis have now admitted they have nuclear weapons.[iv] Iran has been in possession of the bomb for some time now, acquired from the former Soviet States.
We haven’t even really covered the Turkish angle. The Turks are members of NATO, official allies of the United States. Now the Turks are fighting the Kurds, shelling their camps in northern Syria. But the Kurds haven’t been fighting back. They’re giving Turkey no excuse to launch a full-fledged invasion. Then this last weekend, suicide car bombings killed 28 in the Turkish capital of Ankara. Immediately, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu blames Kurdish militants for the attacks. But you see, the US supports the Kurds, and the US is an official ally of Turkey. So, “Davutoglu said the attack was clear evidence that the YPG, a Syrian Kurdish militia that has been supported by the United States in the fight against Islamic State in northern Syria, was a terrorist organization and that Turkey, a NATO member, expected cooperation from its allies in combating the group. Prior to that attack, it would have been difficult for Turkey to justify sending troops into northern Syria to fight the Kurds…. But now the president of Turkey says that his nation has all the justification that it needs to do whatever it wants ‘to the terrorists.’” Snyder suggests that the bombings in Ankara may just have been a False Flag – engineered by the Turks themselves to justify to the world the action they want to take. Turkish President Erdogan, the real power in the country, is getting ready to do just that; go in to Syria to fix the situation. But there are Russians there and there have been intimations that they ready to use tactical nukes if necessary to stop from being overrun – against either the Turkish military or the Saudi coalition. Quite the chaotic mess! Here’s Snyder’s conclusion: “Of course since the Russians, the Iranians and Hezbollah are all already inside Syria helping the Assad regime fight the radical Sunni militants that are being backed by Saudi Arabia and Turkey, a full-blown ground invasion could very easily be the spark that begins World War 3. This would be true even if the United States did not participate in the ground invasion.”[v]
The Changing Scene
Things have changed just a bit since I wrote the above earlier in the week. It was becoming obvious that a Saudi-led invasion would face a tactical nuclear response by Russian forces. So the Saudis and Turks seemed to change strategy. As Super Station 95 reports, they would “neutralize Russia (inside Syria) first, then take Syria by directly attacking Damascus.” They would do this by secreting troops posing as tourists into Lebanon and Jordan to advance on Damascus on two fronts. To this end they had placed 30,000 tourist troops in Lebanon by February 23rd. More thousands are in Jordan. “Cargo ships carrying container loads of weapons and supplies, have been traveling up the Suez Canal, docking in Lebanon, and unloading containers of weapons and ammunition to warehouses outside Beirut.” The Saudis and some of their allies have stationed submarines to neutralize the Russian ships in the Syrian ports of Tartus and Latakia. If successful, this would compromise Russian air defense in the region. SS95 claims that Pentagon sources have confirmed details. There are reports that Israel has agreed to allow these troops to use the Golan as a launching pad for the attacks. An approximately 150,000 man army remains in place in northern Saudi Arabia poised to join the fight. France has dispatched its only aircraft carrier to position itself to lend support to the Arab subs. The Saudis, the UAE and Bahrain have all issued official public warnings telling their citizens to leave Lebanon immediately.[vi] Turkey is expected to join in the attack. According to the Turkish daily Sabah, the Turks are about to close off the Bosporus Straits to Russian military vessels, boxing them in the Black Sea. They accuse Moscow of aiding the YPG, anti-Turkish, Kurdish terrorists.[vii] THIS IS A ‘HOT’ SITUATION AND REQUIRES IMMEDIATE PRAYER!
