TRUMP: THE MEANING OF THE MOMENT

A Time of Opportunity & Danger

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” (Proverbs 29:2)

The whirlwind that is Donald J Trump blew into Washington on Monday, January 20^th signaling a major shift in the American psyche.  A corner was turned, that prior to the election, seemed impossible.  It followed on a sad and shameful ending of the Biden presidency that saw the preemptive pardoning of family, friends and allies of  the last administration that would have faced likely investigations and possible criminal indictments for crimes committed against America.  In the waning hours of his term, President Biden pardoned former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, Dr Anthony Fauci, the members and staff  of the January 6 Committee – along with Capitol  police and DC police who testified before the committee.  Shortly after that he issued pardons to several members of the Biden C#### Family.  Even CNN saw the move as shameful.

Then entered #47, President Trump.  There was immediate change in the air.  During the inaugural address the President  laid out what he was going  to do.  And shortly afterward he began doing it.  He signed some 200 Executive Orders, turning back the clock on the Biden regime.  Here is a sampling of them from the  NY Post.

• “Pardon about 1,500 people criminally charged in the Jan. 6 attack, while commuting the sentences for six
• Declare a national emergency at the US-Mexico border
• Designate drug cartels and Tren de Aragua as foreign terrorist organizations
• Reverse several immigration orders from the Biden administration,

• 

  Rescind the 2021 Title IX order, which bans discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation in education programs that get federal funding

• Revoke Biden’s recent removal of Cuba from US state sponsors of terrorism list
• Order federal employees back to work in office five days a week
• Order a federal hiring freeze, including exceptions for posts related to national security and public safety and the military
• Restore freedom of speech and prevent censorship of free speech
• End the “weaponization of government against the political adversaries of the previous administration”
• Impose 25% tariffs on products from Mexico and Canada as of Feb. 1
• Reverse Biden sanctions on Israeli settlers in the West Bank
• Reverse Biden order requiring 50% of new cars sold in 2030 be EVs
• Proclaim that there are two biological sexes: male and female
• End diversity, equity and inclusion programs within federal agencies
• Establish Department of Government Efficiency
• Institute enhanced screening for visa applicants from certain high-risk nations
• Reopen Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas exploration “Drill baby drill!”]
• Order attorney general, secretary of state and secretary of homeland security to “take all appropriate action to prioritize” prosecution of illegal aliens who commit crimes
• Institute a 90-day pause in the issuance of US foreign aid
• Order the attorney general to pursue the death penalty for killing of a law enforcement officer or any capital crime committed by an illegal immigrant
• Order the secretaries of commerce and the interior to restart efforts to route water from California’s Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta to other parts of the state
• Withdraw the US from the World Health Organization
• Declare the border crisis an “invasion” and order the attorney general and secretaries of state and homeland security to “take all appropriate action to repel, repatriate, or remove any alien engaged” in such.”[i]

In addition, Trump began the purging of over 1,000 Biden political appointees, beginning with General Mark Milley.  He also terminated Admiral Lee Fagan, the Commandant of the Coast Guard over “failure to address border security and her excessive focus on DEI.”   Another Executive Order withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Accords and reversed many of Biden’s climate policies.[ii]

More actions: “President Donald Trump pulled the security clearances of more than 50 national security officials who said Hunter Biden’s laptop had ‘all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.’”  No evidence of Russian involvement was found.  Former officials use their still active security clearances as valuable tools providing lucrative employment in the private sector.  Included on the list were James Clapper, Leon Panetta, John Brennan and John Bolton.[iii]

The border has been effectively closed.  Just days after the inauguration, it was reported that something like  750 illegals were stopped from entering the United States from Mexico.  None were released into the country.  Numbers had reached as high as 12,000 in one day under Biden.  The word is out. The border is closed.  In addition, ICE is already conducting raids, rounding up illegal criminals for deportation.[iv]

A Tale of Two Cultures

We are talking here about an election and a transfer of power that can be seen as a sea change.  But the real question is: Does it align with God’s Spirit?  Is it according to His will?  There is little doubt that to a large portion of Americans this was a ‘Last Ditch’ election.  The nation and the culture were spiraling out of control.  Men were allowed to play women’s sports.  There were 3,251 genders.  Children were allowed and encouraged to change their sex, often secretly without parental notification….But those same chilldren couldn’t get a tattoo without parental approval.  And babies can be killed up to the last moment before emerging from the womb.  Men were women ….& She-men drank bud light…..And then fewer and fewer he-men at the tracks and football games..  As a nation, we had stumbled into the worst kinds of sin.  And we were proud of it.  We had parades.  We promoted it in the military…..And  fewer and fewer were willing to join.  Let’s flesh this out.

There are two nations in world history that were dedicated to God at their founding.  Israel and the United States.  America was founded on the Gospel.  It was dedicated….several times….to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  [That doesn’t mean all our Founding Fathers were Christian.  They were not.  But they recognized the efficacy of a biblical foundation.]  It started at Jamestown in 1607, the first successful colony.  It happened again at Plymouth in 1620, with the Mayflower Compact.  The very beginning of that document laid out the purpose of the colony’s existentence.  “…  Having undertaken, for the glory of God, and advancement of the Christian faith, and honor of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia.”  Jump ahead to April 30, 1789 – and we see a multi-denominational prayer meeting breaking out at President Washington’s firs inauguration.  John Adams spelled out the commitment ensconced in the Constitution.  “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”  We have been an imperfect nation – but one that was dedicated to the God of the Bible.  Yet over time we drifted.  That drift was aided and abetted by those that want to destroy the foundations of the culture that we were founded upon.  And in our history, we paralleled the history of ancient Israel.

Israel began well, but over time they fell into the pagan ways of their neighbors.  They fell into Baal worship, with its’ gender-bending, physically-emasculated priesthood – [Yes, they were practicing a crude form of sex reassignment surgery] –  and its’ child sacrifice, rolling their children into the fire to please this satanic false god.  Under Ahab and Jezebel they adopted the worship of Ashtoreth.  Sex was no longer the sacred provenance of marriage but a religious rite of the culture.  Over time they embraced Baal worship with all of its’ evil entailments.

In these last several decades America has traveled the same path.  Western culture at large has long been preparing for this deception.  Satan has certainly employed the popular culture toward this end.  The notion of sin died over time, with the movement that began in the decade of the 60’s dealing it some of its most fatal blows.  TIME Magazine asked the question: “Is God Dead?”  The Beatles embraced Eastern Mysticism and the youth culture of the day followed, wading into the morass of relative morality.  Sex, drugs and Rock-n-Roll became the motto of a confused generation.  Drugs moved from the fringes of society and settled into the mainstream to stay.  Free love took its toll.  Over time it resulted in the precipitous weakening of the family unit.  As Catholic thinker, Fr Donald Sanborn would have it, this “cult of liberty” seemed to be the driving ethic of that landmark decade and the explosion in Eastern, New Age and occult beliefs that accompanied it.  There was clear Marxist influence in the political philosophy that grabbed much of that generation.  That sentiment paid forward.[v]  By 2019, over 49% of younger Americans agreed with the statement: “I prefer living in a socialist country.”

This was a reflection bequeathed by the heady revolutionary days of the 18^th century.  America’s 60’s Generation looked not to the American Revolution but to the French for inspiration.  The ‘liberty’ sought there, like its French patron, involved a systematic rejection of the Judeo-Christian God and Biblical values.  In its place there arose a form of Humanism that glorified Man as the supreme value.  It was self that was laid on the altar to be worshiped.[vi]  As Sanborn wrote: “The eighteenth century is the century of revolution, of freemasonry, of naturalism and rationalism. It is the century of the guillotine.”[vii]  While on the spiritual front, it is important to realize that the Masonic / Illuminati alliance has purposefully fed into the New Age movement.  The modern manifestation of the New Age was nourished by and grew greatly through the chaos of the 60’s.  The revolutionary spirit of those days was both political and spiritual.  By 1965, the counterculture was challenging and in many cases breaking down what was referred to as the Establishment.  Under the influence of the Beatles and other popular rock groups, Eastern religions and even outright occultism began to take hold among the nation’s youth.  It tainted much of a generation, bringing with it a breakdown of the moral order through a sexual revolution – whose effects are felt to this day.  A rebellious generation had summoned up Forces it could neither understand nor control.  For the most part, these were the dupes while the puppeteers pulled the strings.  And I stress again the fact that – that influence is still felt today.

Along the way, President Bill Clinton set out to redefine the national culture.  Over time, the  LGBTQ agenda was granted cultural legitimacy, culminating in SCOTUS legalizing Gay Marriage in 2015.  That was the same year that presidential candidate Hillary Clinton declared “‘deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed/ to allow women access to ‘reproductive health care.’”[viii]  [In other words: ‘You must change your beliefs so abortion can advance.  It doesn’t matter what God says!]

As Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn points out, America’s path was mirroring that of ancient Israel.  President Bill Clinton was a type of Ahab and Hillary was following in the footsteps of Ahab’s Queen Jezebel.  Both turned to the occult and the worship of ‘other gods.’  It has been widely reported that, led by Hillary, the Clintons engaged in channeling and speaking to the dead while in the White House.  Bob Woodward of Watergate fame, said that Hillary “communicated with Eleanor Roosevelt and Mahatma Gandhi during her husband’s term—though not Jesus, as that would’ve been, according to Woodward’s retelling, ‘too personal.’”  Denying the occult nature of what went on, her spiritual advisor, Jean Houston, called it “an imaginative exercise to force her ideas, to think about how Eleanor would have responded to a particular problem.”[ix]  Either way, this was all just a part of the social unraveling that we are facing today.

Good has become evil and evil good.  We are in the process of fulfilling the prophetic judgment of Isaiah 5:20.  “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”  We have embraced the dark side.

And then came the election of 2025.  Donald J Trump entered with energy and purpose.  Sanity is being restored.  There is a chance for peace in Ukraine.  There is a chance that American Greatness can be restored.  But it will not come from a political solution.  This is a beginning and an opportunity.  Greatness will not be restored without repentance.  Repentance as individuals.  Repentance as a nation.  And that repentance must begin in the Church.  America has abandoned God and will not and cannot be blessed in its’s present state.  Our fate is not in the hands of politicians but in the universal priesthood of believers.  And yes, there is a movement afoot.  There are campus revivals taking place.  We see people flocking to some churches, new believers and backsliders recommitting themselves to Christ and  the Truth of Scripture.  I see that in my own church.  Yes, there are those seeking spiritual freedom and spiritual hunger.  It needs to be watered and nurtured and stuck to.  We can neither wander from the Truth of our faith.

We are living in a time when wildfires are devastating our most populous state.  When weather anomalies – whether from human manipulation or natural – assault regions that have not seen such events.  We live in a time of novel diseases and the threat of nuclear war and soaring prices and tens of millions of immigrants invading the land and an economy on the verge of collapse.  And through it all, until the last moment, God offers hope.  He is calling His people, the Church to true repentance.  Here are the words of 2Chronicles 7:13-4.  “ When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
