No matter how you frame it – it was a horrible unmitigated tragedy. Much of the media reported it the in the same matter. I’m talking about the airstrike on a camp in Rafah Here’s the take from Redacted:
“Israel ‘accidentally’ bombed a refugee camp and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that at least they tried not to. Israel reportedly hit a tent camp and killed at least 45 people, including women and children.”[i] So, was Israel targeting civilians? There certainly was a rush to judgement to that effect. Now, the take from the Jerusalem Post. “The Israel Air Force (IAF) conducted a precise strike on a Hamas military compound, which was located in a UNRWA school in the Gaza Strip, the military….Inside the compound were Hamas terrorists, including an operator of anti-tank missiles and a Nukhba terrorist. In addition, the IDF noted that within the compound were weapons such as mortars and explosives.”[ii]
Now the visuals of the aftermath of the strike were horrible. A giant fire broke out in the camp and there were secondary explosions. That fact alone should tells us something: That Hamas had munitions stored at the school. Here’s some of what surfaced early on.
“The IDF targeted two senior Hamas terrorists it had tracked by aerial surveillance to a Hamas compound in Rafah. The IDF confirmed no women or children were in the compound before striking. The strike took place more than a mile (1.7 km) outside the Al-Mawasi designated humanitarian zone and more than 0.1 miles (180 meters) from the shelters that caught fire. The strike was carried out using 17kg (37lb) warheads — the smallest munition IDF jets can use; the IDF munitions alone could not have ignited such a large fire.”
As the week went on, further evidence came out. Satellite photos revealed that Hamas had rocket launchers stored near the target area. A conversation between two Palestinians revealed that a jeep carrying munitions had been one of the targets of the IAF. Shortly after the incident, Amir Tsarfati offered this. “The tragic loss of life last night in Rafah may not be affiliated to the Israeli Defense Forces by the looks of things after all but to Hamas. A vehicle belonging to the terrorist group which was loaded with munitions exploded after it caught fire.[iii] Those explosions then daisy-chained to a Hamas ammunition dump in the camp.[iv] As reported earlier, the IDF targeted Hamas terrorists who were located near the jeep….Although the Palestinians (and then the stupid media parroted it) reported on 45 casualties from the attack on the displaced tents where terrorists were hiding, 20 of them came back to life miraculously,. Why? only 25 names were submitted by the ministry of health as victims. They were too busy faking the event and inflating the numbers that they forgot to make up more names and provide their proof of existence.”[v]
The Grand Fakery goes farther. Yes, the devastation in Gaza is real – and there are civilian casualties. But I watched a video where two brothers were sitting in the back of a parked / open vehicle, mourning their sister, a casualty of the Israeli air strike. Only they couldn’t seem to not break out in laughter from time to time. And in the background, a bagged corpse moved behind them. The Palestinians have been known to “enhance” such “news footage” in the past, faking injuries, and fatal casualties. 60 Minutes even ran a segment on it. It is part of their game plan. Don’t get me wrong: The civilian casualties are all tragic. But those casualties are part of the plan of both Hamas and Hezbollah, who use their own civilian populations as human shields.
Hamas leader, Isamil Haniyeh spelled it out plainly, in late October of 2023, shortly after the murderous attacks against Israeli civilians on October 7th. “The blood of the women, children and elderly […] we are the ones who need this blood, so it awakens within us the revolutionary spirit, so it awakens with us resolve.”[vi] [vii]
The Meaning of it All
“The burden of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: ‘Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.’” (Zechariah 12:1-3)
There is coming a day when all the world will gather against Israel, God’s People. Today we are watching the gathering of that momentum. For the world, it will be a fools errand. Here, in my humble opinion, are the facts.
- Israel is in a war that was not of their own making. [Could there have been a ‘Roosevelt Pearl Harbor Moment’ that allowed it? } But it was Hamas that attacked and initiated the slaughter. They alone are responsible.
- Therefore Israel is acting in its’ own defense. Have there been overreactions. Yes, they are there in every war.
- Hamas NEEDS TO BE DESTROYED. They will settle for nothing less than “From the River to the Sea.” That is nothing less than the total-destruction of Israel.
- This is no less than a call for genocide. And there are open calls for that very thing. In Australia, they chanted “Gas the Jews!”
- Hamas proved that that was their intention by their actions on October 7. Young women were gang raped, sometimes mutilated and then murdered. Children were tied together and then burned in front of their parents. Babies were baked in ovens.
- The ‘Palestinians’ of Gaza and the West bank and elsewhere celebrated in the streets when Hamas made came back from its’ slaughter.
- Always playing the victim card, Hamas managed to ingratiate themselves enough to get significant sums of international support and aid. They spent that money buying bombs and building tunnels. They then acquired arms and ammo through tunnels to Egypt, instead of improving the lives of the population that elected them.
- When food supplies are provided, Hamas seizes them for their benefit, taking what they want and selling the rest to their own constituents.
-
With knowledge of all this, nations are signing up to recognize Palestine as a legitimate state…..for the first time in history. Historically, the nation of Palestine has never existed. It is rather, a construct of 1960s international politics. Norway, Spain & Ireland were the last to join this club. States that have done so in the past include Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and Turkey.[viii] All in all, some 143 nations recognize Palestine as a State.
- These nations continue to call for a Two State Solution. [This was already provided for. The State of Jordan – or – Trans-Jordan at the time, was to be the state that would be inhabited by the Arabs living in Palestine.]
- A Palestinian State – in Gaza or the West Bank or some combination – would be a terror state, dedicated to the destruction of Israel. That is NOT a pathway to peace.
- And it is certainly against God’s biblical mandate for the region. The territory allotted by God for the state of Israel is much larger than the present state. [Covered before – will cover again.]
At its’ root this is a spiritual battle. Satan is the Enemy out to destroy God’s People and the nation of Israel. With that he hopes to prevent the return of Messiah to this earth to reclaim His Kingdom. The Enemy will not succeed. Israel had been banished from the Land for over 1,800 years before they again became a nation in 1948. But God promised through the Prophet Amos that this time their possession would be permanent. “‘I will bring my exiled people of Israel back from distant lands, and they will rebuild their ruined cities and live in them again. They will plant vineyards and gardens; they will eat their crops and drink their wine. I will firmly plant them there in their own land. They will never again be uprooted from the land I have given them,’ says the Lord your God.” (Amos 9:14-15) (NLT)
