Jewish Migration from Europe to Israel Sets an All-Time High – A record number of Jews made Aliyah to Israel from Western Europe in 2015 due to a rise in anti-Semitic attacks, according to the Jewish Agency for Israel. “That a record number of European Jews feel that Europe is no longer their home should alarm European leaders and serve as a wake-up call for all who are concerned about the future of Europe.” Said Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky.[i]
An Orthodox Jew Discovers Yeshua in Israel –Neriyah Arabov grew up in the former Soviet Union, but at 17 his family fled the communist system and immigrated to Israel. He rejoiced after arriving in Israel, that he “would never again be called a dirty Jew by my countrymen.” After serving in the IDF, he found work in Tel Aviv, where he met a Russian man who shared with him the surprising news that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel! “He seemed to know the Bible better than I did. I was religious. I would go to synagogue. I wore a kippa, prayed all the prayers, however, in my heart I didn’t even really believe God existed. I started reading the Bible more in order to prove to my new friend that he was mistaken about Jesus.” But when Neriyah read the Book of Isaiah, the 53rd chapter had a profound impact. “It was clear to me the prophets were talking about Yeshua.” The more of God’s Word he read, his heart melted and he realized that he is a sinner. God answered two of his silent prayers, and he prayed directly to God for the first time in his life. He fell on his knees and gave his life to Yeshua-Jesus as Lord and Savior![ii]
“Daddy’s Coming Home!” Pastor Abedini’s Family is Rejoicing – “We heard Saeed was being moved out of his cell by the intelligence police and we felt like that was indication of his release,” Naghmeh Abedini told CBN News. She was contacted by the U.S. State Department confirming that her husband was indeed being released. “I woke up my kids at 7:30 in the morning and told them that ‘Daddy was coming home!’ They got out of bed and just started jumping up and sown, rejoicing. It was very lour, very joyful and I could see a heavy weight lifted off their little shoulders. Outside of my faith in Jesus Christ, I’m so thankful for the millions who prayed, who trusted God with me, who did not give up, who sent me messages, and prayers which kept me going and kept the hope alive both for me and for Saeed also,” she said.[iii]
