“Your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity. No one calls for justice, Nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity.” (Isaiah 59:2-4)
It is hard to look at what is happening in America, in the halls of Congress, in the Nation’s capital without a sense of sadness and despair. The rule of law – principles on which the founders were careful to build this country – has been turned on its head, ignored, spat upon, demeaned and mocked. Just this last week we had two examples. First came the release of the long-awaited report by the Inspector General of the FBI. All the anticipation, and there was nothing there. A big fat nothing! The almost-500-page report found “no evidence of political bias or intentional misconduct.” It was looking at how and why the probe of the Trump campaign began – and it found that it ‘largely complied with DOJ and FBI policies.”[i] That’s curious, because in the document’s Appendix 1, we find that there were 51 violations of something called the “Woods procedure,” which is “the process by which the bureau verifies information and assures the FISA court its evidence is true.” And these were not just piddling little technical violations. This is all in regard to getting the FISA Court to open the investigation into the Trump campaign. So, first of all, it was found that the FBI made 9 ‘false assertions,” you know, outright lies – to get their way. In addition, John Solomon reports, the Bureau “made another nine factual assertions that did not match the supporting evidence.” [In my world, those would be called lies too!!] And then there were 33 other instances of failing to provide evidence for what they were asserting. [You know, ‘Well I said it was true – so it must be true – cause I said it – and you haven’t proven otherwise.’][ii]
So when the mainstream media got ahold of it, they were trumpeting the fact that no one of any stature was implicated. James Comey, even claimed that he had gotten a free pass. ‘Nothing to see here, folks.’ That was the tenor at the beginning of the week. But the presser by IG Horowitz and Attorney General Barr was a little different. Horowitz let it be known that no one was cleared of charges. And the AG reminded the world that there’s another – and this time – criminal investigation going on by the US Attorney in Connecticut that has the potential to blow the lid off the illegal activities conducted by the Deep State in using false information to begin a criminal investigation of the President of the United States. US Attorney Durham issued a statement disagreeing with the conclusions of the IG report that FBI actions were not intentional. Durham’s investigation is hanging over the heads of the Deep State operatives involved. Senator Lindsey Graham summed it all up nicely in his opening remarks before the Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing that is overseeing the impeachment process. “What has been described as a few irregularities becomes a massive criminal conspiracy over time to defraud the FISA court, to illegally surveil an American citizen and keep an operation open against a sitting president of the United States — violating every norm known to the rule of law.”[iii]
And then came the articles of impeachment. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler presented the articles on Tuesday, December 10th. The first accused President Trump of “abuse of power.” It alleged that he had “exercised the powers of his office for his personal benefit while ignoring or injuring the public interest.” Specifically, it asserted that “President Trump solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, in the 2020 United States Presidential election. He did so through a scheme or course of conduct that included soliciting the Government of Ukraine to publicly announce investigations that would benefit his reelection, harm the election prospects of a political opponent, and influence the 2020 United States Presidential election to his advantage. President Trump also sought to pressure the Government of Ukraine to take these steps by conditioning official United States Government acts of significant value to Ukraine on its public announcement of the investigations. President Trump engaged in this scheme or course of conduct for corrupt purposes in pursuit of personal political benefit.”[iv]
This was supposed to have occurred with the Ukrainian President. Both the Ukrainian President and Foreign Minister denied that this occurred. The original – and subsequent accusations were made only by those who had not actually heard the phone call, which they admitted under oath. In addition, the official transcript of the phone call does not support the accusations leveled against the president. There is no record in the transcript of a quid pro quo. There is no record of an ask or a threat or condition. President Trump was accused of withholding aid to Ukraine until Hunter Biden, candidate Joe Biden’s son was investigated for activities in that country. But there was no pressure applied and the funds were eventually released without an investigation being conducted.
The second article of impeachment had to do with Mr Trump not cooperating with Congress’ impeachment probe. Chairman Schiff conducted these like they were Soviet show trials with secret evidence being taken and Republican participation severely limited as to providing counsel and witnesses. [Other than that, it was the model of Jeffersonian democracy.]
Perhaps the most frustrating part of this whole sham process is that the Dems are accusing President Trump of doing to Biden what Biden actually did – and bragged about doing; using his influence to advance his own interests. During the Obama administration, Biden was sent to Ukraine as the point man for US policy with that country. Now it just so happened that his son, Hunter, was working for Burisma, a Ukrainian natural gas company. And it just so happened that Hunter Biden knew nothing about the natural gas industry – or Ukraine – or foreign economic policy. But he did have an influential daddy, so they hired young Hunter. I mean, what luck! What are the chances? And well, Hunter just happened to be under investigation for money laundering, by the State Prosecutor. And as luck would have it again, Joe ‘Daddy’ Biden had control of a billion dollars in US aid in his pocket. So what do you think happened? Joe did what any good Daddy would do for his son in that situation. Joe threatened the President of Ukraine. He was leaving Kiev in 6 hours. He told them that if they didn’t fire the prosecutor in 6 hours he was going home with their aid package. And you know what? They did! And you know what else? Genius Joe bragged about it on camera in a meeting of the Counsel on Foreign Relations. Here’s a link to a little one-minute clip which shows Joe telling us in his own words.
The Deep State factions in this struggle are operating with no shame. There is no justice. There is no honor. And make no mistake, the aim and goal of the Deep State is the dismantling of the United States as we knew it, as they move to wed us to the emerging Global New World Order. The rule of law and justice are its casualties. And we will only find relief in the mercy of God as we come in national repentance, seeking righteousness and His face. Israel was a land once dedicated and forever promised to God. They strayed often – and when they would repent God would bring them back. So too, America was once dedicated to God – on several occasions. Like Israel we have strayed and are now perhaps at our most distant point in our orbit.
But when Solomon had completed the Temple: “Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: ‘I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.’”
God was telling Solomon from the beginning that there will come a day when Israel will stray. And then He WILL “shut up the heaven.” Yes blessings will dry up. But there is a way back, a way out, a means of salvation. It is found in seeking God. And as real repentance and seeking sets in – healing is promised. It is assured. God will hear. God will answer. America, we must go to our knees….it is the only path to our salvation…..and ultimately, through Jesus Christ Messiah!
