So, many reports. So much to unravel. So much to confirm.
- Report: 12.000-20,000 Iranians killed in crackdown by Mullahs when internet was turned off.[i]
- Reports say US Forces had already launched before being called back on January 14th. President Trump was advised that strikes against Iran would not necessarily result in the end of the Islamist regime in Tehran. AND there were reports that Russia & China would consider this part of a global war if the US launched the threatened attack.
- US Naval – including carrier forces are continuing to move toward the Middle East. This includes the USS HW Bush & the USS Abraham Lincoln. A third carrier group may be on the way. The US is building up refueling and cargo capabilities on Diego Garcia. Germany, France and the UK are deploying Eurofighter aircraft to Cyprus, within range of Iran.
- Headline: S. Moves Amphibious Assault Ships Near CUBA; Issues NOTAMS for Mexico, Central, and South America: “Military Activity” Control of the Panama Canal may be a target.
- Report from January 16th. “The United States is hunting for a Russian nuclear submarine off the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. The search has been going on all night.”
Here are the potential consequences of an American strike on Iran.
- Iran could temporarily neutralize American bases in the region including Al Udeid and al Dhafra Airbasess.
- Attacks against Fifth Fleet command structure in Bahrain
- Closing of the Strait of Hormuz affecting the transport of oil.
- Global oil prices skyrocket
- American stockpiles reported to be down to 11 days.
- Israel could suffer catastrophic attacks
- Strategic Petroleum Reserve could be threatened or even depleted[ii] [iii]
