IRAN UPDATE

The news coming out of Iran is confusing and largely unconfirmed.  I was asked for an update on this and I can only give what I have.

• Report from Pamela Geller – “The regime is collapsing.” 2 million Iranians are in the streets with protests going on in 180 cities.  Geller’s take: “This is potentially the most transformative victory for freedom in the Middle East since the end of colonial rule—on par with the fall of the Berlin Wall. It strikes at the ideological heart of modern jihad itself. If it falls, the Iran–China–Russia axis is fundamentally destabilized.”[i]
• Report – “The US is ready to help Iranian protesters achieve freedom from the ruling Islamic regime, President Trump has said. President Trump has repeatedly warned that the US would intervene if the Iranian regime used lethal force against protesters. On Friday, during a meeting with oil executives at the White House, Trump said Washington is monitoring the situation very closely. He made clear that, although US troops would not be used, he had other ways of punishing the Iranian regime.”[ii]
• HEADLINE – “Reports indicate that gold in Iran is being flown to Russia as Supreme Leader braces for collapse”[iii]
• The Islamist Regime in Tehran has shut down the internet to hide the slaughter of protestors. According to Hal Turner: “The most conservative estimates indicate that at least 2,000 people have been killed over the past 48 hours. A doctor in the northern city of Rasht told Iran International that one hospital alone received at least 70 bodies.”[iv]
• American Strike Certain – “Not If But When” Reports out that Israel is preparing for a US strike on Iran.  Quote from Hal Turner story.  “Trump has been briefed on strike options. Non-military targets in Tehran among them. The New York Times confirmed it Saturday night citing multiple US officials. No final decision. But the options are on the table and the bombers are fueled.  Six B-2 Spirits at Diego Garcia. Half the entire stealth bomber fleet. Dozens of KC-135 tankers surged to Qatar since January 5. The same pattern preceded Operation Midnight Hammer in June.  You don’t need carriers to bomb Tehran.  You need bunker busters.  The carriers are a distraction. The tankers are the tell.”[v]
