I had the first article written a few days ago. We were on the verge of going to war with Iran. And then, it happened and what I had written became irrelevant. Like it, fear it, love it….That was the reality!
There is no way that I would be able to keep up with the fast pace of developments in the conflict. So, I will concentrate on the likely or at least potential side affects that the war could bring. Though seemingly not fully on-board with the action, Doug Hagmann offered this analysis of the situation.
- He is convinced that if Iran did have nukes they would certainly use them against American interests in the region – and by extension Israel.
- His investigations have confirmed that there are a massive number of Iranian sleeper cells in the US. These could be activated at any time.
- The Mullahs that control the country have murdered nearly 50,000 civilians since the current protests began.[i]

Now, in the event, seeing no real progress in the negotiations with Iran, President Trump decided to launch the attacks early in the morning of Saturday, February 28th. It came as a surprise as it was a daylight attack in Iran. Early targets included IRGC intelligence headquarters, the Ayatollah Khamenei’s residence, the air defense infrastructure, other military installations and missile launchers. Iran responded by firing ballistic missiles against Israel, but in smaller numbers than they did in the June 2025 action. Many in Iran were seen to celebrate the strikes by the US and Israel. Later we learned that the Ayatollah (Supreme Leader) was dead along with about 40 of the other top leaders in the Islamist regime. In my podcast, I had started warning of the coming war….and before I could fully publish it was upon us. So, then what could it all mean?
Possible Consequences
I started to consider what it could all mean. One of the biggest concerns involved the Strait of Hormuz through which passes about one-fifth of the world’s oil. If the Iranians managed to close it down it could cripple the Global Economy. The cost of oil would spike. The cost of everything would follow. It could lead to a world-wide depression worse than the Great Depression. The early returns are in. But only the early returns. As of Sunday night, March 1, the Strait is still operational. The US has managed to sink 9 Iranian naval vessels and destroy their naval headquarters. The Strait of Hormuz is still operational – though many or even most of the shipping companies are hesitant. With the Ayatollah being already taken out by an Israeli airstrike, things look cautiously promising for a resumption of normal maritime traffic.
Many warned that this would set up a contest between Iran with its’ population of over 90 million against Israel’s 7 million. It would be a slaughter. Right now, it does not seem so. Many in Iran are thankful for the US & Israeli campaign against what they see as a brutal regime. It is hard to tell where the war will go – it always is. Could things turn and the economy tank? Of course. It is war We know however that the God of the Bible is in charge of all that happens. We know that Israel will exist in the Last Days. It is the center of Christ’s return. The 144,000 witnesses will be Jews from every tribe of Israel. The Temple will be rebuilt and then taken over by the Antichrist. So, however this particular chapter plays out – I believe Israel will be in the Land until Messiah’s Return. And here is the promise. “Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” – Psalm 121:4
