I wasn’t going to do this….follow the war on my website. But I will make a few remarks on how it is unfolding. The thing to remember is that ‘Truth is the first casualty of war,’ possibly attributed to Aeschylus, the ancient Greek playwright. Winston Churchill put it this way. “In wartime, truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies.” So, anything we report is subject to ‘further review.’ But here are some observations.
First of all on justification. While Israel does benefit from the US presence in a war against Iran, this is not a war for Israel. This war effectively began in in 1979 with the Islamic Revolution. America and Israel have been marked as the Great Satan and the Little Satan ever since. The Mullahs have been responsible for the deaths of thousands of American lives ever since, whether directly or through their proxies. They are a nation committed to achieving homegrown nuclear capability. We can see that they have a robust missile and drone program. If they achieve a nuclear capability we have to take them at their word. They will use it…..against US bases in the region, against Israel – and if they can develop capable missiles – against America itself. On the offensive side, the US / Israeli assault has been impressive. Iran’s Navy is gone. There Air Force is non-existent. Their missiles have been reduced – if we can believe the numbers – by 90%. But the drone force remains a problem. The Iranians seem to have these in abundance and a decent number are getting through. Israeli cities are being hit an a missile struck the American embassy in Baghdad. And there are rumors and rumblings that the stocks of US and Israeli defensive missiles are dwindling. New technology is being rushed to the front to deal with Iranian drone attacks. Lasar / directed energy weaponry is being deployed. But more is needed. Anti-drone drones are slated to show up. But it cannot be known if this will be enough in time. Meantime, Tel Aviv and American assets in the region are being hit hard. Or so, the story goes. On Saturday March 14, Iran is claiming that it “has destroyed 5 US refueling aircraft in Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Airbase.” If confirmed, this would be a major blow.[i] Iranian leadership has warned that oil could go to $200 per barrel.[ii]
But there is an economic price that is being paid. And it is playing out right now. The Strait of Hormuz is effectively closed. Oil production in Iraq is down 70%. LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) production is shutting down. All of this is affecting one-fifth of global crude oil supplies. China needs this oil to function. Iran needs the money from the oil trade to continue….the war and even to exist. Now the US has struck Kharg Island, a vital area of Iran’s oil industry, as a warning to the new Supreme Leader to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. [Functionality of Iran’s oil industry was not targeted.][iii] All of this is driving up the cost of goods in this country and around the globe. With Iran firing their missiles at their Arab neighbors, the Gulf nations are suffering severe conditions. Dubai is down to about a week’s worth of fresh food. Iran struck a desalinization plant in Bahrain and now they are on the verge of a water emergency. Farther away, Japan is dependent on Middle East oil – and that is just now flowing.[iv]

Martin Armstrong points out that this is about more than just oil. It’s also about the global food supply. “About 30% of all fertilizer flows through the strait of Hormuz. This is not just about oil. This is also about a food shortage as I warned at the WEC. Last year…. The global food system is a MIRACLE of modern logistics and chemistry. Eight billion people fed daily through complex supply chains spanning continents, dependent on synthetic fertilizer produced from natural gas and shipped through narrow chokepoints. It’s also insanely FRAGILE. One major disruption = cascade failure within months. We’ve lived with this fragility for 50+ years and gotten away with it. The cycles say our luck is running out. The Strait of Hormuz is 21 miles wide. The margin between civilization and famine is even narrower.”[v]
As the combat rachets up in the Middle East, reports surfaced that Iran had given the ‘go signal’ to its’ terror cells inside the US. There was talk about a massive drone strike against California. And at least three terror incidents occurred in the US, including an attack in New York, that if it had worked, would have done more damage than the Boston Marathon Bombing.
Finally, there is the damage the war is doing to America’s position in the Middle East. The US has not been able to protect the Gulf States and others from attacks by Iranian missiles. Some reports (Hal Turner) reference “successive waves of missiles and drones” forcing US troops to abandon Middle East bases. They talk about the destruction of the destruction of American radar, bombed bases and “interceptors running on fumes.”[vi] Hal Turner argues that the lack of America’s ability to protect the Gulf States is driving them into the arms of Russia and China. This could see states like the Saudis begin to do business for oil in the Chinese Yuan. This would devastate the value of the Dollar and collapse the American middle class. It is not a done deal – but it does exist as a possibility. What would likely follow would be the end of American presence in the Middle East. The Gulf States are positioning themselves for an exit that would result in the collapse of the American middle class.[vii]
And significantly, that serves the Globalist cause. An American collapse is a necessary condition for setting up the New World Order.
So, what do we do about all of these forces that we have no control over? To begin with we understand that God is in charge. Nothing will happen that will surprise Him or that He does not have ultimate control over. He is the Alpha and the Omega – the Beginning and the End. His will – will be done. And so our only recourse is surrender. Jesus preached this from the beginning of His ministry: “Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17) So, there is our answer!
