“Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.” (1John 2:22-23)
What are we to make of this emergent, prime challenge to the Truth of Scripture and the Reality of the God of the Bible. Islam represents over 1billion dedicated followers. Their sacred books commit them, – whether they know it or not, – to a faith that holds as one of its main tenets to advance the cause of Allah by force if necessary, until a worldwide Caliphate is established. Islam is a faith that while giving a nod to the Old and New Testaments, claims that they are corrupted and expressly denies God’s promises to the Jews and the deity and Sonship of Jesus the Christ. It is Christianity’s primary challenger on the world stage. And though claiming to be a ‘Religion of Peace’; – it sets out a course for the violent overthrow of civilizations in advancement of its own cause.
Islam is no longer confined to the Middle East. It has reclaimed much the historical cruel and expansionist character it displayed in the early centuries of its’ existence. Its’ holy books demand a world-wide empire. In the years following 911 we were taught by President George W Bush and the media to refer to Islam as the ‘Religion of Peace.’ Nothing could be farther from the truth. Yes, most Muslims seem to be peace-loving, everyday normal people, with the same desires fears and aspirations as other segments of society. Yet all who participated in the 9/11 plot were young Muslim males. It is adherents of Islam that were behind the attack on the Cole, the first attempt at blowing up the Twin Towers, the endless parade of suicide attacks in Israel, and on and on. In an article in the Jewish World Review, Daniel Pipes points out that the Islamic assassins of Egyptian President, Anwar Sadat, (who was killed for making peace with Israel), – decorated their cells with banners proclaiming “The Caliphate of Death.” is a direct causal relationship between Radical Islam and Terror. I will show the connection between the slaughter of innocents and the holy scripture of this “Religion of Peace.” It will reveal a faith committed to world domination, – by any means.
It is something that is not always realized, – but it is the “Religion of Peace” itself that is at the root of terrorism. It is built into their theological assumptions. The motivation, as Daniel Pipes points out, is not necessarily to cause the West, or the US or even Israel to retreat in Iraq or Saudi Arabia or Kashmir. Rather the motivation is the establishment of an Islamic World Empire. Bin Laden referred to it as the “pious caliphate”. Islamist thinker Abdullah Azzam declared that his goal was “…the establishment of Allah’s Rule on earth”.[i] Cal Thomas analyzes the situation thus; – “Even if Israel were obliterated…the terror would continue until the entire non-Islamic world is under their control”.[ii] So do not be fooled into thinking that their motivation is poverty on the Arab Street or resentment of the West. It is simply a literal and dedicated reading of the Koran and the Hadith that spawns the terror, fed by a culture that feeds and nurtures it with its 7th century code of ethics and honor.
To better grasp the nature of the religion, it would be good to understand just where it came from. At its’ very inception, it emerged as a tribal religion created by Mohammed, his tribe being the Bani Quraysh tribe centered on Mecca. Mecca was a center of paganism. And in the middle of Mecca was a black cube called Kaaba. It was a center for idol worship. This was demon worship. Every tribe had their own idols. The chief god of all was Allah. Now, Mohammed cobbled together ideas from several different religious perspectives when he created Islam.
And what was eventually wrought was an aggressive religion. Mohammed was peaceful when in Mecca. He didn’t have a lot of power. But when he moved to Medina and formed an army, things changed. Now, Islam became a political tool for power and expansion. Mohammed became a conqueror and in essence a warlord. Over time, the Islamic forces became an invading army. They would kill anyone who resisted and seize their goods and their families with the women serving as sex slaves. As time went on, Muslims began levying a tax, jizya, on non-Muslims. It treated the unconverted conquered as 2nd class citizens.
Now, jump forward to today. Islam is still intent on a World Caliphate. The governance of the entire globe under Sharia Law. In modern times, the first phase of conquest begins with immigration. When they are a small minority they are peaceful. Once they are over 5% they begin with open prayers. They will set up prayers in the middle of the road. We are starting to see this in America now. Then they become political. They take over local, state and national offices. They will – and have been – using our freedoms against us. Once they take over, they will use democracy and republican form of government to destroy the democratic system they used to gain power. Their government is ruled by the Quran. It is reported that there is a neighborhood in Detroit where sharia law is dominant and the police will not even go there. Right here in the United States.[iii] Islam has been conquering nations for 1,400 years. They rule by the sword. They have turned the formerly Christian lands of the Middle East into citadels of Islam.

THE CHALLENGE OF ISLAM – PART 1 – THE ENGIGMA OF ISLAM
Eschatology is the study of the final events of world history through the prophetic lens of the major monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Islamic eschatology teaches that Islam will eventually rule the entire planet. That is the mission of every Muslim. It is taught in their holy books.
There is no separation of church and state. Islam is not a religion of proposition like Christianity is. In Christianity, if you repent of sin and follow Jesus you will be saved. In contrast, Islam is a religion of imposition. You can boil it down to this: ‘Convert or Die!’ Therefore Islam is a unique threat. Islamists believe that if you leave the Muslim religion you should be killed. Polls have shown that most Muslims in the world condone violence for what you think. A Pew Poll conducted in Egypt found 82% said stoning was appropriate in cases of adultery. 80% believed in the death penalty for leaving Islam. There are executions for homosexuality.[iv]
The bottom line is this. Islam is incompatible with Western culture, Western ideology. We’ll get into this more later but let’s understand that Mohammed married a 6-year-old. This religion, in their holy books tells you to cut off the heads of Jews and Christians. This is the religion that is slipping into our country. Ryan Miller points out: “The symbol of Islam is a sword. The symbol of Christianity is a Cross.”[v]
Hate sermons are preached throughout the Muslim world. The calls for the death to Jews and the end of Israel fill the mosques and the Arab airwaves, as they broadcast the Friday night sermons of the imams. And it matters not that a Muslim majority is peace loving. In fact that may not even be true. Over half of Jordanian Muslims believe that suicide bombings are legitimate tools. Polling has revealed that 25% of British Muslims would not warn authorities if they have knowledge of a planned terror attack.[vi] And why should we be surprised. Foreign supported mosques preach their vile hatred throughout Britain and across the United States. C.A.I.R., (Council on American Islamic Relations), representing itself as a moderate Islamic organization is found to have key members with links to financing terror. All the while imams will periodically issue a ruling that justifies the killing of civilians, – so long as it is done in the name of advancing Islam. That is its sole requirement. All the while, the Koran is preached with its clear justifications for violence against the foes of Islam. “Slay the idolaters wherever you find them”, Sura 9:5 commands. And the violent and arbitrary Mohammed himself is held up as model. That ethic has found its expression against the West through terror.
Here are some examples. The takeover of the American Embassy in Tehran in 1979, – The 1983 bombing of the US Embassy in Beirut killing 63, – The attack on the Marine barracks in that same year, killing 241. Jump forward to 911. – [And yes there may have likely been co-conspirators involved] – the London Underground attacks of 2005, the slaughter of the Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics and the incessant bus and suicide bombings in Israel. Thus is the fruit of the “Religion of Peace.”
So as we look at Islam; its origin, its practice, its meaning and its future significance, – we see in it a perfect foil for the nation of Israel, set up in direct opposition to God’s people and the Truth of the Bible. As such it perverts the very notion of God’s Truth, – expressly denying the anointing and appointing of the Jews as God’s people, and the Holy Land as God’s land. And through its truth-denying misrepresentation of the very character of God, it offers itself as servant of the antichrist forces that will serve as a vehicle of prophetic fulfillment.
