The Potential Prophetic Legacy of the Abraham Accords
Just the existence of the Abraham Accords is controversial, dangerous and to some of the players who put it in place, fully innocent. On the surface at least, its’ intent is to bring peace between elements of the Arab / Muslim world on the one hand – and – Israel on the other. Stand With Us is a pro-Israeli organization and they offer this take on the Accords, as offered by Steve Mnuchin, of the US Department of the Treasury under Trump. “The Abraham Accords are a series of treaties normalizing diplomatic relations between Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco, facilitated by the U.S. Administration between August and December, 2020. In the span of five short months, these four Arab states joined Egypt and Jordan in making peace with Israel. The agreements were called ‘The Abraham Accords’ in honor of Abraham – the patriarch of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.”[i] However, there are complicating factors pregnant with possible prophetic implications that could lead to the rise of the Antichrist in fulfilment of Biblical prophecy.

Geoffrey Grider of the prophetic ministry Now The End Begins (NTEB) believes that the “Abraham Accords are the bait that will lead Israel and the Jews to finally accept the idea of a Two State Solution with the Palestinians, and what do they get in exchange for agreeing to part God’s land? They get a deal with Islamic powerbrokers that allows the Jews to rebuild their Temple in Jerusalem, the Palestinians get their own state with Jewish land, and the Joel 3:2 stage is finally set to usher in the time of Jacob’s trouble.” Joel 3:1-2 surely is an interesting passage in that context. It describes the time of Last Days Judgement. “For behold, in those days and at that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land.” God has always intended that the Land belong to His People, Israel. Here’s an April headline from NTEB. “The Abraham Accords Pull Israel Deeper Into the Muslim World, The Palestinians Greatest Fear Is That The Jews Will Rebuild Their Temple In Jerusalem.”[ii] That is entirely true. It’s also an interesting fact that conversely, the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem would be the fulfillment of the Masonic purpose and dream.
Now, some Christian groups as well as Orthodox Jewish ones are working toward the rebuilding of that Temple. But prophecy tells us that this will be the Temple of Antichrist. 2Thessalonians 2 begins by giving us a clue regarding the Rapture’s placement in the End Times timeline and follows that with a description of how the Antichrist will physically execute the Abomination of Desolation. “Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of [b]sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” (2Thess 2:1-4)
Daniel 9 describes the same event. The passage is speaking of the Antichrist. First, from the New King James. “Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.” (Daniel 9:27) This is where some less experienced Bible students say, ‘Huh?’ So, here is the same passage in the New Living Translation. “The ruler will make a treaty with the people for a period of one set of seven, but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds, he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration, until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him.” (Daniel 9:27) (NLT) There we go, a little more understandable. The seven, “set of seven” refers to seven biblical – or – 360 day years. So, this could all be working to the future fulfillment of Bible prophecy. But that’s how much of prophecy seems to work. The ‘natural’ outworking of history sets the stage for such fulfillments.
And then, there is this. NTEB reports that “The Biden administration has been quietly mediating among Saudi Arabia, Israel and Egypt on negotiations for Straits of Tiran that, if successful, will be the next step on the road to the normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel, and the Two State Solution.”[iii] Official peace with Saudi Arabia may be a key stepping stone to get Israel to accept a Two State Solution – in other words, a Palestinian State in exchange for a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount.

Finally, and this is from a few years back – the Palestinians are trying to bolster their claims to the Land, claiming that the Palestinians are not just Palestinians, a people newly-minted in the 1960s for political purposes, but rather, Canaanites, who were in their in 3,000 BC, predating Israel’s presence. Mahmoud Abbas made that claim in 2019. “We are the Canaanites. We will remain in our homeland, and the outsiders on this land ha[ve] no right in this country. The land is for its inhabitants, this land is for the Canaanites who were here 5,000 years ago, and we are the Canaanites.” Of course, the claims are ridiculous on their face. “Mordechai Kedar, a senior lecturer in the Department of Arabic at Bar-Ilan University…said all Arab peoples first arrived in the land of Judea with the Muslim invasion from the Arab Peninsula in A.D. 637.” A World Net Daily article referenced a “2017 study sequenced the Canaanite genome from the remains of five individuals buried around 3,700 years ago in the ancient port city of Sidon, Lebanon. The results were compared against the DNA of 99 modern-day Lebanese residents. The study determined that more than 90 percent of the genetic ancestry of modern Lebanese is derived from ancient Canaanites.”
Finally, there’s this story that may be true – or apocryphal. According to Breaking Israel News, “The last time Prime Minister Netanyahu met with Abbas, he told him that he was willing to make concessions but first, he wanted to settle an old and outstanding debt between the Palestinians and the Jews. ‘When Moses came down from Sinai, a Palestinian stole the stone tablets. We want them back. They are precious artifacts worth millions of dollars.’ ‘No,’ Abbas retorted. ‘We don’t have them and we don’t keep those laws. We weren’t there.’ ‘Exactly,’ Netanyahu countered. ‘Now let’s talk about whose land it really is.’”[iv]
One last point to make. While seeking peace is a good thing, we must note that the forces, I believe other than President Trump and his team, are the same ones seeking to advance Chrislam, which is a movement trying to unify Christianity and Islam. That’s a move toward establishing the One World Religion of the New World Order and the Kingdom of Antichrist. Welcome to the End Times!
