We’ve been tracking the Globalist assault on the West and on America. It is clearly satanically driven, undermining cultures and national identities. Polls have shown that those who identify as having no religion is a demographic that has been rising for some time now. CBS News reports: “According to the new set of data, 28% of Americans classify themselves as “nones,” 17% of whom identify as atheist, 20% as agnostic and 63% as “nothing in particular.””[i]
Then there is the various alliances that are joining together to attack the American Ethic. The Woke have allied themselves with Radical Islam and throw in the communist Democratic Socialists seizing control of the Democrat Party. And as we’ll discuss beginning next week, all of these are motivated by specific spirits that have invaded and assaulted the American culture since we began pushing God out of the public square. But there is a major push back from all these assaults. It is nothing that was looked for or really planned. The Holy Spirit is on the move. It is rather reminiscent of perhaps the First Great Awakening, of the 1730s & 1740s, which prepared America for the Revolutionary period. Today’s movement is resulting in mass baptisms as people, moved by the Spirit, are declaring that “Jesus is Lord,” as they go under. In May of this year, a Jacksonville Florida church baptized 2,500 souls in the Atlantic Ocean. People were lined up to get dunked at The Church of Eleven22’s annual Beach Baptism. Then came Pentecost Sunday. An organized event saw baptisms across the entire nation. Seventy thousand went under the water in one day.
But it is not just the Evangelicals that are growing. The Catholic Church is growing too. Adult baptisms are up. And young parents are bringing in their infants to be sprinkled in growing numbers, starting to reverse a trend that has been in place for 60 years. The Diocese of Richmond Virginia saw 900 adult baptisms during the Easter Vigil.
Baylor University saw a 72 hour prayer vigil that had many giving their lives to Christ. Baptist churches in Mississippi report 9,000 people baptized in one year. Even some prisons are seeing an uptick in the number of inmates giving their lives to Christ.
May 17 saw an event on the National Mall called Rededicate 250, to thank God for America and His blessings. Organizers expected maybe 15,000 to show up – but the figure may have been as high as 50,000. It was described as “A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise, and Thanksgiving.”
This movement is being fed by the return of young men to the faith. Traditionally, women have been more serious about God and spirituality than especially young men. But now, perhaps looking for meaning in a deteriorating culture and a growing sense of national crisis, young men have passed younger women in being serious about God.
This trend of increasing numbers coming to faith has been growing since 2021. Baptisms are up beginning in that year. All across America, thousands are proclaiming “Jesus is Lord!” We may actually be on the verge of a New American Awakening.[ii] [iii] [iv]
