AI / REVELATION TALKING BEAST? – In the second half of Revelation 13, scripture tells us of the False Prophet, a religious figure that will work with the Antichrist. He will “exercise all the authority of the first beast.” (AC) (vs 11) And he will perform “great signs.” (vs 13) And in verses 14 & 15 we read, “And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.” For centuries no one could quite figure out how this could be accomplished. But perhaps now we’re on the verge of a possible solution. An article in Prophecy News Watch offers this. “In an age of AI-driven avatars, real-time synthetic voices, and globally networked digital identities, some observers are beginning to ask whether the technological scaffolding for such a phenomenon is quietly emerging.”
The AI company Meta is “reportedly building AI-generated 3D characters that users can interact with in real time, with Zuckerberg’s own digital likeness serving as a prototype. The system is designed not just to respond, but to emulate personality–drawing from public statements, leadership philosophy, and behavioral patterns. In essence, it is not merely a chatbot, but a living simulation of authority: a digital proxy that can speak as the founder, think as the founder, and potentially guide decisions in his absence.” Could something like this serve as the prototype for the talking image of Revelation?[i] Just sayin’!
DANGER OF GLOBAL FOOD SHORTAGE – Major factors are converging that could lead to very serious worldwide food crisis. “Across the United States and much of the world, farmers are being squeezed by a brutal combination of worsening drought conditions and surging input costs–especially diesel fuel and nitrogen fertilizer.” Soil conditions are bad in the American Midwest and the Plains. The closing of the Strati of Hormuz is affecting energy and fertilizer shipments. The cost of nitrogen fertilizer is up 40%. Diesel is expensive and supplies are down. Tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems and the trucks that carry crops to market are all effected. Some farmers are cutting back on fertilizer, some on planting and some are wondering if they can plant at all. Australia is in crisis. “If Australian farmers cannot access the diesel needed to plant and harvest crops, global grain supplies could take a significant hit. Wheat and barley are staple commodities, feeding millions directly and indirectly through livestock production. A disruption in Australia doesn’t stay in Australia–it reverberates through global markets.” Europe, Asia, Africa and China are all facing shortages in inputs that will result in shortages in crop yields later in the year.[ii] Would be a good idea to stock up on non-perishable food items and starting gardens to supplement personal supplies.
IRAN UPDATE – Just a few quick points on the state of affairs vis-à-vis Iran. The naval blockade declared by President Trump that has effectively closed all of Iran’s ports is showing signs of working. As I prepared to write this, it was just announced that Iran declared the Strait of Hormuz completely open. The US said the naval blockade will continue until all the issues are finalized. It seems Iran is losing between $200 million and $275 million per day in exports, mostly oil. Import activity is costing them over $100 million more – per day! China is without its’ major supplier. Europe is desperate for energy. Ships in the world’s oceans, once headed for the Middle East are making U-Turns and heading to the Texas coast, in the Gulf of America to buy American oil. The Trump tariffs have reduced the American trade deficit significantly. Investment is pouring in to the US. Factories and AI facilities are being built. But the economic impact may take some time to manifest. Perhaps we are on the verge of a new order in the Middle East. Perhaps the world’s greatest sponsor of terror is being neutered. But prophecy tells us a different story. Any new order would seem temporary. Iran, or as the Bible calls it, Persia, will be part of the Magog Confederacy that comes against Israel in the Last Days, as revealed in Ezekiel 38 & 39. It will not go well for that alliance. Yet, perhaps there may be a temporary reprieve. In any case, God is in control. His Will, will be done. And prophecy will be fulfilled.
