Genesis 16 contains a prophecy that details the character of Abraham’s son from his concubine – (it’s a complicated story, if you don’t know it.) It reflects on the offspring of said son, from his wife Sarah’s maid , Hagar. The son’s name is Ishmael, from which the Arag race and the Muslim religion all trace their heritage. Here is the scripture. God is speaking to Hagar. “Behold, you are with child, And you shall bear a son. You shall call his name Ishmael, Because the Lord has heard your affliction. He shall be a wild man; His hand shall be against every man, And every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” (Genes-16:11-12)
If we follow the mainstream news today, Israel is painted as the aggressor. They are accused of genocide, of ethnic cleansing. They have been indicted in the court of public opinion of slaughtering civilians. The reality of the situation cannot be farther from that narrative. Israel is being accused of “ethnic cleansing.” Yet there are over 2 million Arabs living in Israel, with full rights, making up about one-fifth of the entire population of the country. And now Hamas is actually, giving away the game. They are publishing obituaries of the so-called civilians killed in Gaza, honoring them as martyrs and fighters for the cause. They masqueraded as medics & UNRWA workers & social workers and first responders. This is further attested to by the money paid to widows of the martyrs. (Jonathan Conricus) Their identity is released in Shahid Posters. They are called “brave martyrs” who have been “killed in a military operation.” Some are members of the Islamic Jihad, a recognized terror organization.[i]
Israel is routinely blamed for the death of civilians in Gaza. Yet they do everything in their power to lessen civilian casualties. If they truly wanted a genocide they could bomb the area indiscriminately with their planes. They have full air superiority. They have units that are dedicated to warning civilians with leaflets and broadcasts and telephone calls to leave certain areas. They designate safe zones when they are about to attack a certain area. But Hamas does not allow the civilians to leave. Camera shots of dead civilians provide good publicity for the terror organization. Hamas uses its’ own people as human shields.
Hamas is a terror gang, a Middle Eastern Mafia. Israel sent 94,000 trucks with 1.8 million tons of food into Gaza. The Israelis enabled 36,000 Gazan patients to be treated in hospitals both in Israel and abroad. But you won’t hear about that. And you likely won’t hear that it was Hamas that stole the food coming into the territory. That’s according to Reuters and the UN.
The history of Arab violence goes back centuries. There were the Muslim conquests that turned the formerly Christian Middle East into an Islamic stronghold. But the land some call Palestine was largely overlooked though under Muslim control. It was a barren wasteland with a remnant of Jews remaining. Palestinian violence against Jews in the Land long predates the establishment of Israel. So, this is not about a Palestinian state. In 1834 there was the looting of Safed. In 1851 you have the murder of Zalman Zoref. There were the Jerusalem & Jaffe riots of 1920. More rioting in 1929. And the Arab Revolt of 1936.[ii]
Despite all of this, Israel sought peace repeatedly, ever since 1948, the year of its’s reestablishment as a nation. And that was predicted in the Scripture. The UN Partition Plan was rejected by the Arabs from the start. They had always opposed a Two State Solution. They were determined that no land be allotted for a Jewish state whose claims to the land go back at least 3,000 years. The initial plan would have given the Arabs most of the fertile land and Israel just three plots of “barely contiguous land” that was mostly desert. The Jews said yes. But Arabs said no. In the Arab mind, Jews and Christians could only live there if they knew their subservient status under Islam. They were Dhimmis. In May of 1948, all the surrounding Arab states attacked the newly declared state of Israel and tried to snuff out this Jewish experiment. Yeah, that didn’t go so well for the attackers.
After that war, Jordan annexed the West Bank and Egypt took control of Gaza. But there was no talk of a Palestinian State. Because there had never been a State of Palestine. Years later, an Arab leader admitted that if they ever gained control of that territory, they would have immediately handed it over to the Kingdom of Jordan.
Then there was the 1967, Six Day War. The surrounding Arab countries believed they could snuff-out Israel. But the IDF preempted them and the Arabs were once again defeated. Israel offered peace. Israeli PM noted: “This was the first war in history, that on the morrow, the victors sued for peace and the vanquished demanded unconditional surrender.” But the Arabs refused peace with Israel, they refused to recognize Israel and they even refused to negotiate.
Jump forward to Oslo Peace Process in 1993, just as hope for peace was on the horizon, the Palestinians launched the Second Intifada, killing thousands of Israelis and maiming countless others. This was the time of suicide bombings. Then in December of 2000, President Clinton pushed a peace deal that would have given the Palestinians all of Gaza, 96% of the West Bank, no more Jewish settlements and safe passage between the two Palestinian enclaves – and even control of most of the Old City of Jerusalem – and that too was walked away from. Another, even better deal was offered in 2008 – again the Palestinians refused. Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005. Only violence followed. Hamas arranged to win the elections then took international money and instead of building infrastructure and benefiting their people they built a tunnel system with entrances and hubs in private homes, hospitals, schools and mosques. This was all in preparation for a war they were preparing to launch – one that they knew Israel would launch once they had attacked.
Then came October 7, 2003. Three-thousand trained fighters attacked. They killed, raped, burned civilians and military. They took hostages. The ‘civilians’ celebrated. They invited the war that followed. They had prepared for it with tunnels and civilian, human shields.[iii] These are the actions of the ‘Religion of Peace.’ They have declared openly, that they are all about the destruction of Israel. That they seek also to defeat the Great Satan, the USA. They hide nothing. Yet, somehow, we in the West are oblivious….or our leaders are seeking our own destruction.
