We finished off last time talking about how the Kingdom of Antichrist will be built on a foundation of a false One World Religion. New Age beliefs will be folded into a faux-Christian framework. Today, we’ll tackle the role of Islam in this movement and specifically their signature End Times figure, the Mahdi.
“I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.” (John 5:43)
We do well to remember here, what we laid out in some detail before. The Mahdi, the predicted Islamic Messiah, is believed by the Shiites to be returning soon. One of his great missions is to set up a One World Religion and Government, – after of course, – slaughtering all the Christians and Jews that will not go along.[i]
Over the course of history, some have declared themselves to be this Mahdi. One such was Muhammad Ahmad, who declared in 1881 that he was the long-awaited Mahdi and then launching a war against British-controlled Egypt. That war was not settled until 1899. The interesting fact about this whole Madhi phenomena, is that when you compare the Islamic Messiah with the Biblical Antichrist: You get one and the same figure! This is the same conclusion that Walid Shoebat, a former Palestinian terrorist, – now converted to Biblical Christianity came to when he compared the Koran with the Bible.[ii]
Recall how Muslim eschatology, (End Times theology), – is a perfect mirror of Christian eschatology, – with the good guys and bad guys reversed. Both talk of a climactic struggle between good and evil. Both pose a world strongman that “will rule for seven years,” directly corresponding with the reign of the Antichrist in Daniel and Revelation.[iii] Just as the returning Jesus is a direct descendant of Abraham, – so too is the Mahdi, only through the line of Ishmael rather than Isaac. [iv] Islamic scripture tells us the Mahdi, (aided by the Islamic Jesus [called Issa], who denies his own divinity), – will set up Sharia law, beheading those that oppose Allah’s regime. The Bible says the same about the Antichrist. Daniel 7:25 says he “shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws.” And in Revelation 20:4, John tells how he “saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast.” Now, we’ve reviewed the evidence before, and concluded it likely that Madi and Antichrist will be the same historical figure. Speaking of his former days as a follower of Allah, Mr Shoebat put it thus: “My Mahdi was your Antichrist. Your Christ was my Antichrist.”[v]
We must understand that Islam claims it is ‘the final revelation of God.’ To the Muslim, Christianity has fallen into error, and the Koran is the correction. One error they set out to correct is the notion that God can have a son. Sura 4:171 says: “Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son”. Many other verses in the Koran support this notion.[vi] As a result, Islam also rejects the Atonement of the Cross; – the idea that anyone can die for someone else. Now the Koran does teach atonement, but by your own martyrdom. That is the only way to be sure of your salvation; – by giving your life warring for Allah. (You can also take relatives with you. It’s part of your reward.) [Such is the culture of death….excuse me, ‘Religion of Peace’.] As a result, Muslim’s sacrifice themselves willingly as a sacred duty.[vii]
God’s Victory
You see this is a great war between good and evil; – between God and Satan. It is interesting to look at the nations mentioned in Psalm 83: They are all Muslim countries! Look at Isaiah & Obadiah. All sons of Islam! Each and every nation that the Bible tells us God goes to war with, – and destroys, – is today a Muslim nation. Further, Allah began as the moon god of Arabia. It was the same as the worship of Baal or Bel in the Old Testament. The sign of this moon god, – and of Bel and Allah is the crescent moon. Judges 8:21 confirms this crescent moon as a sign of the gods of that region. It gets better. Philippians 2:10 tells us “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.” In Isaiah 45:23 & 24 God says, “To Me every knee shall bow..And all shall be ashamed who are incensed against Him.” Then just a couple of verses later, in Isaiah 46:1, explaining the humbling it says: “Bel bows down; Nebo stoops.”[viii] Such is the fate of the ‘god’s who resist the True God of the Bible!
A Yet Deeper Connection
So lets look at some of the names of Allah, given by Islam itself to this god of theirs. He is called; – The Most Proud, The Great Deceiver, The Afflicter, The One Who Causes Death, – and it is said of him, “Allah is the greatest of all plotters.” Sura 24:35 describes Allah as “the light of the earth and the heavens”. Yet the Bible itself tells us that “Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” (2Corinthians 11:14) And in Luke 10:18 Jesus said: “I saw Satan fall like lightening from heaven.” The Koran compares Allah to a “floating star”. Revelation 8:10 tells how “a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.”
Let’s go deeper still! Mohammed himself wrote: “I seek refuge from the Lord of the Dawn, from the evil he has created.”[ix] The Bible tells us it was Satan himself that brought evil into the world. Mohammed again: “I seek refuge from the King of the Multitudes and the demons”.[x] So Islam presents Allah himself as the King of Demons and the Creator of Evil. That is not the role given to God in the Bible, – but the function of Satan himself! So don’t be deceived. Allah is NOT just another name for God. Allah and the Great Jehovah of Scripture are not one and the same. This, despite what former President George W Bush, a publicly Christian President has told us. In fact, Allah is a god that spreads the great lie that Jesus our Savior is not “come in the flesh” and thereby “is the spirit of antichrist, which you heard was coming.” (1John 4:3) Remember that one of the names for Allah, is The Great Deceiver. There is coming a time when Satan / Allah, – The Great Deceiver will rule the world for a short time through his own man; the Mahdi / Antichrist. He will come to power through deception. 2Thessalonians 2:9-10 reads: “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth.”
