For centuries the Mark of the Beast prophecy found in revelation had stumped scholars. How could it be implemented. But now, the architecture is in place; the technology at hand – and the prophecy seems to be at the edge of fulfillment!
Take note of the scripture: Revelation 13:16-17. “He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” [The “He” in this scripture refers to the False Prophet.]
JP Morgan Chase is the largest bank in the US and carries the most capital in the world. Well, the folks down there have a plan….for all of mankind. And it sounds strangely familiar. Here’s the story as laid out in Forbes. “JPMorgan Chase is planning a broad rollout of biometric payments with U.S. retailers by early next year, enabling shoppers to make purchases by scanning their palms or faces.”[i] Right off the bat, notice what they will be scanning: palms & faces. That’s not quite the ‘Mark’ yet, but they will be using the same areas to identify customers…..for the purpose of buying and selling.
Leo Hohmann believes that it will be ‘convenience’ that will drive the demand for this new service. Already, Amazon has “launched its Just Walk Out store in the Seattle Seahawks’ Lumen NFL stadium. The AI-based checkout allows fans to enter a concession stand, grab what they want, and walk directly back to their seats without going through a checkout process.” It was a hit with both vans and vendors who doubled their sales at games. Now, Amazon is concentrating on its’ “Amazon One palm-recognition solution.” You just shoot a pic of your hand and set up a payment method. Five hundred Whole Foods Markets are on board as are “150 third-party locations including stadiums, airports and convenience stores.” Many pro-sports franchises and concert promoters are moving toward these biometric technologies.[ii]
Then add this from VISA. They are offering something called “Visa Flexible Credential,” which they describe as “a new technology that lets issuers give their clients the ability to access different funding sources on an existing payment card.” This will allow “one card to rule them all,” by tapping into different funding sources. It will not use a unique series of numbers, but instead employ “biometric data in a digital ID verification system.” Here’s their pitch. “Some things are uniquely you. Your face, your fingerprint, your biometrics are yours and yours alone. And they’re the key to the next generation of security in payments.”[iii] Can the “Mark” be far behind?
