FOX isn’t covering it! Neither is CNN, MSNBC, ABC or CBS. There are some articles in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. But the broadcast media has been largely silent about the MOST IMPORTANT STORY going right now. We are on the verge of war with Russia. Nobody on either side seems to be blinking. Both sides are escalating. And there’s a real good chance that if the two Super Powers, the US and the Russian Federation come to blows – that it WILL GO NUCLEAR! But I guess it’s smore important to cover the feud between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes!
Here is as quick outline of just how this current crisis took shape.
- On September 3, Reuters reported that the US would be shipping precision-guided, longer-range air-to-surface cruise missiles to Ukraine that could reach deep into Russia proper.
- Until that point, “European-donated long-range missiles had been limited to Ukrainian targets within its own borders or occupied territories” by the donating countries. Suddenly, Western nations were talking about lifting that restriction on Ukraine’s use of those weapons.
- This followed the delivery of Iranian missiles to Moscow for use by the Russian military.
- President Putin and other high-ranking Russian officials began to warn that such an attack on Russia would mean that a State of War existed between NATO and the Russian Federation – and that war would be felt on “both sides of the Atlantic.”
- Unconfirmed reports began to surface stating that the US had already – or was about to lift those restrictions.[i]
- Russia began to issue warnings that stated in effect that if NATO donated weapons were launched deep into Russia, that Moscow would consider that those weapons had been launched by NATO forces. They would hold the supplying countries responsible. The reasoning was simple. Ukraine would not be able to launch and target those weapons without the use of US and European satellites. In addition, the components were produced in America and assembled in the UK.
- It is the UK that will decide whether or not the Storm Shadow missiles can be launched into Russia.
Now, Russian Military Analyst, Colonel Mikhail Mikhailovich Khodaryonok says that the Russian Defense Ministry has developed a plan to deter NATO from expanding the war too far.- As of now, three Russian nuclear subs have effectively surrounded the United Kingdom. They are awaiting orders to attack. If Ukraine launches missiles toward Russia, the submarines will be given the green light to strike the facilities of the “British Division of the pan European Missile Systems company, MBDA,” at Stevenage, Bristol, and Bolton, UK.
- Earlier this year, there were as many as 18 Russian submarines posted off both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of the US mainland. There is no indication that they are not still there.
- Colonel Khodaryonok, says following that, Moscow will detonate a nuclear warhead off the coast of Britian, in either the Atlantic or the North Sea, to serve as a warning against future adventures.[ii]
A CHANGE IN DIRECTION?
Beginning on Tuesday, September 17th, the winds began to take a different turn…perhaps.
- The Biden Administration (Regime) had been divided on the US position and was dragging its’ feet on granting approval for the deeper targeting. Faced with that, the British government announced that it would not act without the approval of Washington.
- They cited the fact that US guidance systems were ‘crucial to ensuring the missiles hit their targets.’
- Still, Prime Minister Keir Starmer is confident that American approval will be given a little later down the road.[iii]
Still, this is the biggest crisis on the planet. A nuclear war could wipe out the majority of the population on Earth today. And yet few are talking about it. But even in this, we can have confidence in God.
In Matthew 24, Jesus talks about the massive loss of life that will occur during the Tribulation. [We are NOT there yet….But that’s a subject for another day.] But He says this about those coming days. “For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will again. And if those days had not been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.” (Matthew 24:21-22) (NASB)
