UKRAINE UPDATE

Things have been moving so quickly on this front, especially since a misbehaving President Zelensky was unceremoniously removed from the White House last Friday.  The Ukrainian President was demanding more US aid to continue the losing battle on the ground.  President Trump had by then signaled clearly that the US wanted the war to end.  Immediately the Western European powers began to devise a strategy of their own to continue the war on Russia.  Here’s a breakdown of what followed – not necessarily in the exact order.

• 

  FIRST: A FLASHBACK – Back in 2017, George Soros told Fareed Zakaria on CNN, that he spent $5 billion dollars with the intention of overthrowing the Ukrainian government and breaking up Russia.

• After the White House incident, European leaders met without the Americans to develop a strategy to continue the war in Ukraine. They pledged to raise $800 billion to “rearm” Europe and continue the war.
• The UK, France and the Germans are considering sending a peacekeeping force to Ukraine. [This, of course, would trigger war with Russia.]  The Germans later walked back the offer saying they would not participate without American backing.
• The Deputy Chief of the EU asserted that Europe would win the war in Ukraine and break up Russia.
• One European plan that surfaced earlier, anticipated a 20 to 30 year war with Moscow, followed by the break up of Russia into five states.

• 

  President Macron of France: “Peace would be the worse thing in Ukraine.” He announced a “New Global Order” that would take on both Russia and America. Macron waved the sword of his nuclear arsenal and said the French were willing to build thousands of more warheads.

• A one month cease fire plan was floated which the Russians quickly rejected. Moscow said no cease fire without a permanent settlement.
• Russia let it be known that it would make no territorial concessions and would set the terms of any peace agreement. They have the cards to stake out that position.
  • Russia is winning on the ground.
  • The US has stopped aid to Ukraine.
  • Despite pledges from the Europeans, the material support in the way of equipment and ammo does not exist and will not exist for months. Ukraine could last a few months at best, with what they have on hand now.
• President Trump has shut off military aid to Ukraine.
• The US will no longer be providing intel to Kiev.  This includes the intel used for targeting the HIMARS.
• US missiles will no longer be used to attack Russia.
  • The Ukrainians do still have the ability to use British and French long-range missiles.
• This has forced President Zelensky to come to the table with Washington regarding a peace deal as well as the mineral deal. In a post, Zelensky wrote: “Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible…..We really do value how much America has done to help Ukraine….Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time and in any convenient format.”  This represents a complete surrender to the American terms.  [We will see if he actually means it.]
