As I write this, the Middle East is about to explode
By the time you read this it may already have!
The IDF had a buy week. On Tuesday, Israeli jets flew into Beirut, Lebanon and took out Hezbollah’s senior military commander, Fu’ad Shukr. Along with a resume replete with terror attacks against Israeli civilians, believed him to be responsible for the July 27 attack on Majdal Shams that killed 12 children and wounded 44 other persons. The mostly Druze-populated town is located in the Golan Heights which Israel took after the 6-Day War.

- Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah has vowed a response. “We are not saying we are reserving the right to respond — we will respond, this is definite…. We are looking for a real response, not a symbolic one.”
- Iran announced “they will be conducting a ‘Special Operation’ against Israel.” Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei honored Haniyeh as a martyr committed to the cause and added, “We believe it is our duty to take revenge.”
- Satellite imagery has confirmed massive Iranian and Hezbollah war preparations.
- According to Reuters, Iranian officials were meeting “with the representatives of Iran’s regional allies from Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen to discuss potential retaliation against Israel.”
- Hal Turner reports, that Hezbollah has asked Syria “to prepare the elite Syrian 4th Armored Division for the reopening of the Golan front and an extensive war.”
-
USS Theodore Roosevelt Head of the National Security Council in Iran just publicly stated: ‘Israel will be attacked from several fronts.’” Such a war, especially if conducted primarily by Iranian surrogates, could fulfil the prophecy of the Psalm 83 War. That scripture details the attack by an inner ring of Arab nations against Israel. Israel prevails. Scholars believe that this results in the set up for the even more significant Gog/Magog War laid out in Ezekiel 38. [For more detail on the Psalm 83 War click HERE! - The US is sending 12 warships to the region and has assured Israel it would assist in their defense. The aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt is one of the ships being sent.
- Even France sent a threatening message “from (its Embassy) in Tel Aviv, through the Lebanese government, to Hezbollah, that any response that extends deep into Israel will be met with a violent and crushing response against the party’s targets in the southern suburbs, Baalbek, and vital facilities in the capital Beirut.”
Friday 10:40 AM EDT UPDATE
- HAL TURNER RADIO: “Iran has officially informed the United Nations of its intent to carry out a retaliatory action of self-defense against Israel in accordance with Article 51 of the UN charter.” According to intelligence sources, “Iran and its proxies will launch very large missile assault; US expects the attack within days, with a scope to be larger than April 13 retaliation, after Israel Bombed the Iran Embassy in Damascus, Syria,” [where a terror-planning meeting was being held.]
- Expecting an Iranian-Hezbollah attack at any time, HTR reported: “The Israeli government has ORDERED the Defense Forces: ‘All air, land, and sea troops be ready for battle immediately.’” There are reports that Israel is considering launching a pre-emptive attack against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
- High-ranking Israeli cabinet ministers were rushed to underground bunkers. Other members of the Knesset were given satellite phones in case regular communications are interrupted.
- FINAL UPDATE: “Iranian Army Commander: “If the United States intervenes this time, we will target all its military bases and interests in the region.”
POTENTIAL CONSEQUENCES
This conflict is not just another war over there. It has the potential of having some very significant consequences here in the United States. If the US gets in the war it is reasonable to expect that Iran will try to close down the Strait of Hormuz. Some estimates say that 88% of the global oil trade masses through the Strait. We could see massive increases in the price of petroleum resulting in a similar rise in prices at the pump. That would mean everything would get extremely more expensive. [After all, just about everything moves by truck and trucks need fuel.] Americans would feel the pinch – of say gas prices of $10 or more per gallon – not just at the pump – but at the grocery store and Walmart and every place else they buy things. This would be a massive blow to the economy.
A wider Middle East War could quickly bring in more players – like perhaps Turkey or Russia. Then there is the danger of hypersonic missiles. It is reported that the Iranians and Russians have them – and they are operational. America is not reported to have hypersonic capabilities – or the means to defend against them.
Israel will be facing and fighting a war of national survival. Looking through strictly human eyes, this may seem like a war that Israel cannot win. There are those, even in the Christian community, that say that this iteration of Israel is not the one of God’s promise. But God did promise Israel would return to this and would possess it forever. Before He had even brough Israel back from their first captivity in Babylon, God gave this word to Isaiah. “It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea. He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth.” (Isaiah 11:11-12) Isaiah 60 is another scripture that talks about Israel’s return to the Land God promised them. And then in verse 21 it says, “Also your people shall all be righteous; They shall inherit the land forever.” They ain’t going no where! That’s God’s promise.
