Thought I’d use this end-of-year / beginning-of-year period to do a little review. So in the next couple of issues or so we’ll be taking a look at where we’ve been – recently – and where we’re headed. Taking our ‘prophetic pulse,’ if you will. To start with will look at some stories with prophetic significance that point up just how far we’ve fallen from the mark. We’ll break them down over the next few weeks.  WHERE WE’VE BEEN - 1 “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” (2Timothy 3:1-5) The Advance of the LGBT Agenda It was a watershed year for the Gay cause. It was a year of the ... [More]

Yeah…..there’s Good News……

Christians Stand Up to Atheist Complaints about Nativity Scenes – The Freedom From Religion Foundation sent city officials of Belen, (Spanish for Bethlehem) NM, the demand to take down the city’s traditional nativity scene on city property. However, in response, the city’s officials, religious leaders and residents, planned and executed an even larger Christmas celebration this year. And, the nativity scene still stands.[i]  Turning Terror into Light with the Sderot Menorah – Yaron Bob, an artist from an Israeli village near the border with Gaza, takes the remains of Kassam rockets and transforms them into sources of light, a modern day version of “beating swords into plowshares” (Isaiah 2:4). Especially appropriate during the time of Hanukkah, the victory of light over darkness![ii]  Jesus is Making Front-Page Headlines in Israel – The second largest internet portal in Israel, Walla!, is putting Hebrew-language testimonies about Jesus on their front page, and 95% of Israelis are ... It will be a short one today. But I think it will make its point. There is coming a day when all the armies of the world will unite against Israel. But the God Himself will stretch His hand of protection over that Land. “Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.” (Psalm 121:4) What is happening today may be a herald of the future. HARBINGER OF A FUTURE TIME ? “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.” (Zechariah 12:2-3) “Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, And your spoil will be divided in your midst. For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem.” (Zechariah 14:1-2) It was Jerry Golden whose report put this in perspective. Nations are ... [More]

A Biblical Perspective on the Syrian Refugee Issue Commentary by Chris Connelly [Editor’s Note: Along with Daniel Crane, Chris Connelly is co-host of the Christian Patriots Radio show which airs live on Mondays & Thursday evenings from 7PM to 8:30PM Eastern Time. It can be accessed at:] In light of the war taking place on Syrian soil, many contentions across national borders have produced increasing collateral damage. Unique though is the reverberating turbulence manifesting in the far reaching and hotly-debated policies being considered US regarding that collateral damage; specifically the thousands of displaced refugees. As this issue becomes increasingly divisive it has drawn various ‘biblical opinions’ many which lack true biblical context when examined against the entirety of scripture. One famous scripture that is continually being quoted is this. “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy ... [More]

“Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’”” (Ezekiel 33:1-6) Don’t usually do this but we live in perilous times. There are threats on the near horizon that warrant our ... [More]
