We are seeing a buildup of Russian troops on its’ border with Ukraine. There’s no denying it. 94,000 says one report. 120,000 says another. With tanks and missiles aplenty. The talk is they are preparing for a quick strike, Blitzkrieg-style invasion. So, what’s the issue? The US is trying to fast-track Ukraine into an alliance with NATO. The Pentagon wants to put missiles into the country. But Western missile bases would threaten Russia’s own nuclear missiles, leaving them hardly any warning time. It would be like the Cuban Missile Crisis in reverse. Toss in the fact that Ukraine has threatened Moscow with destruction. Of course, Moscow sees all of this as an existential threat. If an American first-strike could take out a significant portion of Russia’s nuclear deterrence, their ability to fight back would be crippled. So, why is this happening now? Let’s take a look at a bit of history.
Ukraine had been a part of the USSR, attaining its’ independence in 1991, as the Soviet Union was breaking up. The Ukraine has long has long split its’ loyalties between Russia and the West. In 2010, Viktor Fedorovych Yanukovych became the democratically elected president in an election declared fair by international observers.[i] Well that was just unacceptable to the New World Order folks. So, in 2014, Ukraine became the target of one of Soros’s ‘Color Revolutions,’ – in this case the Orange Revolution. Dave Hodges of CSS weighs in. “ Ukraine fell from Russia to being a puppet of the CIA deep state. This was a CIA operation but it involved mercenaries provided by George Soros. One of their tactics included employing snipers on the roofs of buildings who shot both pro-Western & pro-Russian leaders. [It kinda makes for a nice chaotic mix.] Over the course of time, they forced the pro-Russian Yanukovych to flee the country, setting up a pro-Western government to replace him. To NATO / CIA , the purpose was to set up “a more western-friendly regime…. Soros, undoubtedly had the goal of sowing the seeds of World War III. The CIA’s interest was based upon lessening the hold that the Russians had over our western allies in NATO when it came to natural gas of which Ukraine was a major supplier.”[ii] Russia’s response to this was to take over Crimea, which had been a part of Ukraine in the old USSR – but was historically a Russian territory – and whose residents wished to be a part of Russia to the tune of 90%.
So, why is the US inserting itself into the equation? Besides the nuclear strategic advantage described above, it limits Russian interest in the Ukrainian economy. Russia used to transit its’ natural gas to Europe through Ukraine. Following the Ukrainian Revolution, began using a much-more-expensive Turkish route to deliver gas supplies. That amounted about 30% of Europe’s energy needs. So now, Russia has Europe over a barrel, so-to-speak. Germany and France face energy blackmail just as those countries will have increased demand for energy heading into Winter. Further, Hodges argues that Putin could use the increased revenues of the recently completed Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to build-up it’s military for what he sees as an inevitable showdown with the New World Order’s new policeman, China. In effect, this energy conundrum could severely weaken the NATO Alliance.
Here is the dilemma. If America does nothing, its’ major European trading partners will fall victim to the energy blackmail. However, US military action could trigger a bigger war with China and Iran[iii] – and possibly even North Korea coming in against the United States. This could even go nuclear – and likely would. OK, now cue the nutcases! The Biden regime is leaving all options on the table – including nuclear. Voices in the House and Senate are arguing for a potential first strike launch by the United States. And if Russia feels that is a possibility, it could drive them to launch first. A nuclear war is a war that NO ONE WILL WIN!
Ask the neo-cons and lib-cons and they will tell you they are fighting for Ukrainian democracy. Well, that’s rich! We are protecting Ukrainian democracy – after we participated in overthrowing their government. They want to guard the sanctity of Ukraine’s sovereign borders while throwing ours open to anyone who can get here. America has NO COMPELLING NATIONAL INTEREST in this fight. We are risking the lives of America’s serviceman and civilians with no core American interest at stake. We are jeopardizing the future of our nation and even the destruction of civilization. THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT!
“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” (Matt 24:6-8)
