- By an overwhelming margin, the UN General Assembly voted in favor of Palestine’s inclusion in the international body. The resolution is a formal request to have the UN Security Council reconsider Palestinian membership. On April 18th, the US vetoed a Security Council resolution for Palestinian membership in the UN.[i] Isaiah 34:12 reads – “They shall call its nobles to the kingdom, But none shall be there, and all its princes shall be nothing.”
- Another Israeli-Hamas negotiation for a cease fire and hostage release has broken down in Cairo, Egypt.[ii]
- “US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin confirmed that the US has paused one shipment of ‘high payload munitions’ to Israel and is “reviewing near-term” shipments amid Israel’s heightened offensive in Rafah.”
- Earlier this week, the Biden administration “granted WAIVERS from Economic Sanctions, to Qatar, Iraq, and Lebanon so they can resume buying . . . WEAPONS!” The waiver is to remain in effect until April 2025.[iii]
