“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.” (Matthew 7:15-16) What is ‘Real Islam’? Is it the ‘Religion of Peace?’ Or does it belong to the beheadings of the realm of ISIS and the terror of al-Qaeda? How does the world view this? What do their actions say?   What do the Imam’s say? We’ll look. Judging from his own words, Pope Francis views Islam as a Religion of Peace. In 2014 he said: “Islam is a religion of peace, one which is compatible with respect for human rights and peaceful coexistence.”[i] But there’s a bit of some very real evidence with which to contend. On several occasions, ISIS has threatened to murder Assyrian Christians living in Sweden. “Graffiti that read ‘the caliphate is here’ and ‘convert or die’ was painted on two stores owned by Assyrians earlier this week, as was the Arabic letter ‘N,’ short for Nazarene, Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter reports.” ISIS released ... We’ve run the full gamut in this series….and we could easily keep on going with details. But alas, it’s time to put this thing to bed. So I’ll finish off with just a few very brief comments.  SUMMING UP Islam has long claimed to be a religion of peace. Western political leaders, including George W Bush and Barack Obama hold that we all worship the same God – that Allah is the same as the Yahweh of the Bible. Muslim organizations state that they only want the same rights as other Americans. These are all lies. Yes, there are millions of peaceful Muslims; just as there are millions who self-identify as Christians, but have no clue about the Christian faith. The holy book of Islam, the Koran, calls for the slaying of unbelievers, the destruction of the Jews – and the forcible conversion of unbelievers to Islam. This is no accident. Its basis can be found in the teachings of Jesus and Mohammed; in the understandings of just who God is – and how He deals with mankind. It might be ... [More]

In PART X we continued to consider the case for a Muslim Antichrist. Today we’ll summarize those arguments and look at the response from the other side. AC: MUSLIM or ROMAN ? When considering Islam, one of the key questions we must ask ourselves is: What is its role in the End Times? With so many prophecies either being fulfilled or lining up for fulfillment, we can know that we are on the edge of that culmination of prophetic history. Just the story of Israel; its rebirth and the restoration testify to that. So what is the place of Islam in the Last Days equation? Dr Joe Van Koevering has emerged as a strong apologist for the position that the Antichrist will come out of Islam. He points to Revelation 13 to build his case. In the first part of the chapter, John sees “a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.” (Revelation 13:1) This is clearly a reference to the Antichrist himself. But a ... [More]

In our last installment we discussed what Scripture has to say about the coming Antichrist that will come upon the earth during the Tribulation. Today we’ll look at what Islam has to say about the Last Days; specifically the role they anticipate for the Mahdi, the Islamic messiah. We will find that the parallels between the Biblical Antichrist and the Mahdi are quite astounding indeed. But does that necessarily mean that the Mahdi will be the Antichrist with Islam its vehicle? Or has God ordained another role for Islam and its messiah figure? WHO DAT MADHI ? When we examine the resume of the predicted Islamic Mahdi, and what the Bible has to say about the end times “man of sin”, we find the similarities astounding. Now, the prospect of an Arab / Islamic Antichrist presents a most interesting scenario: A descendant of Ishmael, Abraham’s son with his wife’s servant girl, father of the Arab race, leading the assault on Israel, the offspring of Abraham’s rightful heir Isaac, all ... In PART VII of this series, we looked at what the Islamic scriptures known as the Hadith say about what the Time of the End will look like. We took a look at the Mahdi, the Islamic messiah, and noted how some forces within Islam are working toward producing the conditions they believe are necessary for his appearance on the scene. Iran is one of those players – and so it the newly successful terror group ISIS. This inevitably sets up the discussion of whether this Mahdi may indeed be the coming Antichrist. Over the course of the next couple of installments, I hope to provide a balanced case both for and against. It is a position that just a few years ago I supported wholeheartedly. Now I’m not so sure. Though I do think that much of the same evidence can point to another prophetically significant role for Islam in the Last Days scenario. WHO DAT MAN ? “Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, ‘Come ... [More]
