FRANKY BOY IS AT IT AGAIN – In a newly released documentary, Pope Francis generated more controversy when he said, ““Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They’re children of God and have a right to a family.” “Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it.” A Jesuit publication tried to put the Pope’s remarks in a better light explaining: “The pope’s words in the film are an endorsement of civil union protections for same-sex couples, in that the pope publicly expressed support for them….This does not mean that he believes that same-sex couples should be allowed to marry. On a number of occasions, Francis has warned against threats to the institution of marriage and described marriage as ‘between a man and a woman.’[i] Still, the remarks have drawn fire from American Bishops and Cardinals as well as the Evangelical community. First of all, homosexual acts are defined as sin in the Bible both in the Old Testament – Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1:26-27. Secondly, the Pope repeated a scriptural error that he has uttered before; specifically that all are children of God. John 1:10-13 reads: “He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” It’s all a matter of authority. Do we look to a man to determine moral right & wrong? Or do we look to the Scripture. As for me, I’ll take the Bible every time!
CATHOLIC BISHOP OF KNOXVILLE: RIGHT ON THE MONEY – Bishop Richard Stika of Knoxville, TN, warned voters that there vote has a moral component to it. “Whether I choose a candidate because of his personality or because I like his party’s stand on particular issues, we must understand that our vote supports their party’s entire agenda—you buy into the party’s entire program for our country.” His remarks continued in a powerful way. “[E]ach week in our country approximately 19,000 unborn children are ‘surgically’ aborted in the most horrific and painful way. This number would be significantly higher if the number of ‘chemical’ RU-486 abortions was counted. Medical science is irrefutable in affirming that human life begins at conception…. Can you vote for a party whose platform clearly supports, promotes, and will do everything possible to protect the willful destruction of human life on a genocidal scale?…. Can you vote for a political party that sees nothing morally wrong with the abortion of the unborn on a scale that repeats that of the Holocaust every six years in our country?” Finally, he makes this stark and damning comparison. “The image recalls the idolatrous practice of child sacrifice to the demon deity Molech that the Israelites, in failing to follow God, practiced to their ruin. Are not abortion and infanticide the continued sacrifice of innocent life to this demon deity?”[ii] A number of former Satanists have said that abortion is considered to be a ‘sacred sacrifice’ to lord Satan.
