A quick look around at the stories making news across in the US & across the globe
“So also, when you see all these things, you will know that He is near right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.” (Matthew 24:33-35) (BSB)
WAR TALK
The Ukraine, of course is one serious hot spot where the Great Powers, USA & Russia seems ‘fixing to tangle.’ Primarily, it seems Washington and London are pushing for a fight with Moscow over the right to place American missiles in Ukraine, where they would be a serious existential danger to the existence of the Russian Federation. On the one hand there is a push toward war. The Biden Regime supplied Ukraine with 300 Javelin anti-tank missiles.[i] On the other, some NATO countries seem to be having second thoughts about taking on the Russian Bear. Michael Snyder of the Economic Collapse details some of the trends toward war.
- The State Department is telling Americans to get out of Ukraine.
- The US & UK are reducing staffing levels in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev.
- Israel is going ahead with plans for a mass evacuation of Jews from Ukraine
- 8,500 troops are preparing for possible deployment to Eastern Europe. [This would be a token force easily overrun should Russia decide to move.]
- The New York Times reports that warships and aircraft may be headed to the region. [Russia has demonstrated that it has the technology to disable communion and electronic systems on both US ships and planes.]
- Hundreds of military trains are rushing Russian troops to neighboring Belarus.
- The U.K.’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office has announced that they have obtained information ‘suggesting that the Russian government is plotting to install a pro-Kremlin leader in Kyiv.’” [Interesting irony there, as it was the CIA and Soros agents that chased out a pro-Russian, duly elected president in 2014 and installed their own corrupt regime in Kiev.]
- Snyder reports, Denmark, Lithuania and Spain – and possibly France are gearing up to send forces to help in the fight.[ii]
But then there is this from the Daily Mail, suggesting support is weak in NATO for a confrontation. If Russia invades, the US would need “a unanimous vote from all 30 NATO members to go forward with deploying. Some NATO nations – like France, Germany, Hungary and Turkey – don’t want US forces stationed there so they can develop closer ties with Moscow.”[iii] Croatia’s President Zoran Milanovic announced, “Croatia will not send any troops in case of an escalation. On the contrary, it will recall all troops, to the last Croatian soldier.” His reasoning? “One must reach a deal that will take account of the security interests of Russia.” In addition, “Germany has repeatedly said it will NOT send weapons to Ukraine and has NOT been allowing any NATO flights which are carrying weapons to Ukraine, to use German air space.”[iv] And then there’s this headline: “Russia, Ukraine, Germany & France confirm participation in summit over Donbass.” So, some of the NATO Allies are talking to Putin, working on a solution.[v]
Still, the US has continued to ramp up the war rhetoric. The US delivered its’ official response to the Russian treaty proposals to diffuse the situation. While the contents were not made public, a Russian senator said, the “US response to Russian proposals shows Washington is heading for direct confrontation and starting global confrontation.” HTR points out that though Secretary of State Antony Blinken asserted that the crisis was “instigated by Russia’s build-up of troops on the Ukrainian border,” it was really a follow up to Ukraine’s deployment of nearly 100,000 troops “first, along the borders of Luhansk and Donetsk, and Russia merely responded to that build up.”[vi]
At the same time, the US is asserting itself in the South China Sea – and that’s not making the Chinese very happy. Headline from The Drive: “Two U.S. Carrier Strike Groups Are Operating In The South China Sea.”[vii]
Take a detour with me here to one New World Order plan, written and published in 1980 by Peter Lemesurier under the title The Armageddon Script. In it he posited a recipe that would take the world into this New Order. It included near simultaneous wars in the Middle East involving Israel – (they would win a big victory), a nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula, and a move on Taiwan by China. Substitute or add in a fight over Ukraine and you have the conditions necessary to move the world toward reorganization. The idea would be that America would not be able to handle all of this crisis at the same time. The American juggernaut would be dealt with and the New World Order – (now being dubbed as The Great Reset) – could come into being.
THE COMING SHORTAGE
Americans are already seeing empty shelves and it’s bound to get worse. There are several factors at play here. One of central factors is that the Chinese are closing or have closed all of their major ports. China is our largest trading partner. That means, that in 3 to 4 weeks-time we are going to see even greater shortages. The goods at sea already, will be distributed and after that we’ll have to find other sources. Over the last several decades we’ve farmed out our manufacturing. Things could get pretty third-world-like in short order. [A WORD TO THE WISE!]
Then there is the fertilizer issue. High prices for fertilizer will affect farmers from all around the world, “making it much costlier to cultivate and forcing many to cut back on production…. According to the International Fertilizer Development Center, exceedingly high fertilizer prices could result in a reduction of agricultural output in Africa alone “equivalent to the food needs of 100 million people.” Senator Roger Marshall weighed in. “It’s no secret farmers are faced with a fertilizer crisis. Prices for phosphorus-based and potassium-based (potash) fertilizers have more than doubled in Kansas while Nitrogen-based fertilizers have more than quadrupled. Fertilizer is vital to feeding not only the country, but the world. It contains essential nutrients for plant life, and without it, American agricultural yields will quickly suffer as well as food prices in local grocery stores.”[viii]
Then there are the after effects of the Tonga volcano that sent volcanic ash a minimum of 20 kilometers into the atmosphere. A similar volcanic event occurred in April of 1815, the eruption of Mount Tambora, sent up volcanic ash that eventually “shrouded the entire globe blocking the sunlight. This sent the world into darkness and 1816 did not have a normal summer. It even snowed in New York City during July.” It produced a Volcanic Winter and this is not so rare, occurring many times throughout history. “They called the year 1816 – the year without a summer. This 19th-century disaster, played out during 1816 when the weather in Europe and North America entered a volcanic winter with widespread crop failures resulting in famine followed by plague… Crops failed due to the lack of sunlight and food shortages were reported in the United States, and throughout Europe.” It took some time for the effects of the eruption of 1815 to take hold. “So, we may not know about any possible Volcanic Winter for up to one year. When we look at our Food Index, note that the volatility began here in 2022 and will continue to rise into 2024. The mismanagement of Biden and this COVID agenda which has disrupted the supply chain combined with Bill Gates becoming now the largest farmland owner in the USA intent on disrupting the food supply further with his synthetic beef for climate change, throw in volcanic winter and the risk of war, and prices could rise further as supply shrinks.”[ix]
