“The beginning of sorrows.” It was a phrase used by Jesus when explaining to His disciples what conditions would be like in the days before His return. Here is a part of what He told them. “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” (Matthew 24:6-8) Look at what’s happening right now. Earthquakes on the rise. Volcanoes erupting. Pestilence – the Coronavirus. And now the after effects of the outbreak could lead to a breakdown in the global food supply.
As China’s economy grinds to a halt, the ripple effects are beginning to be felt across the world. China accounts for about 20% of the world’s GDP, so when a nation of that size shuts down the world is going to feel it. Zero Hedge reports. “New evidence from Bloomberg reveals cracking global supply chains are fast emerging at major Chinese ports with thousands of containers of frozen meat piling up with nowhere to go. The Covid19 outbreak will remain a dominant issue for 1Q as supply chain shocks are being felt by multinationals on either side of the hemisphere. Sources told Bloomberg that containers of frozen pork, chicken, and beef (mostly from South America, Europe, and the US) are piling up at Tianjin, Shanghai, and Ningbo ports because of the lack of truck drivers and many transportation networks remain closed. Seaports in China are quickly running out of room to house the containers and cannot provide enough electricity points to keep existing containers cold. This has forced many vessels to be rerouted to other destinations.”[i]
What we’re talking about here is a massive number of reefers, refrigerated units, piling up on the docks of the closed Chinese ports. The food inside those containers is rotting. Some of it faster than others, because there’s not enough power to hook up all the units. And if there’s trouble now, even when we find a ‘fix’ for the Coronavirus issue, it will not instantly clear up. As the Ice Age Farmer points out, “This is our meat.” American meat, especially pork is harvested in the US and sent to China for processing. Then it is sent back for sale on the American market. [Who came up with that brilliant system?] That means in two or three months we’re going to see those shortages at the supermarket, if the stuff is even available.[ii] [More on that later.]
An article in Fresh Plaza describes the congestion at the ports in an article titled: “Congestion in reefer containers will remain on the world market for months to come.” (They are actually telling their customers to go elsewhere.) “Imagine you could find a drug against Corona tomorrow, then the logistical catastrophe would be on the world market for months to come. Imagine if all ports in China are full of reefer containers, we are talking about 120,000 reefer containers, while the total number of reefer containers is around 1.5 to 1.6 million. This means that based on these figures, around 8% of refrigerated containers have disappeared from the market due to the blockage.”[iii] All this goes on while the food product rots in the ports. There is a great deal of meat spoiling at a time when authorities are already warning of a global protein shortage. China was one of the countries hardest hit. The African Swine Flu took perhaps 70% of the Chinese pig stock. That amounts to about one-fourth in the entire world.
The Covid-19 effect dealt more blows to the farming industry there. They lost “massive amounts of poultry and livestock” when the transport system was effectively shut down on account of the virus. Animal feed was not able to be delivered. Animals were disposed of by being “buried alive.”[iv] The global food supply is under attack from numerous other fronts.
A locust plague of biblical proportions has descended on lands stretching from China to South Africa. Nations are losing major portions of their crops as the locusts continue to multiply. Some of the affected nations include; Iran, China, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Yemen, Oman, Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Sudan.[v]
Add to that the disastrous year had been American farmers after the massive flooding last Winter and Spring. Corn yields as well as other crops were way down and cattle losses numbered in the hundreds of thousands. Australia had the smallest wheat harvest in years. Cold weather destroyed crops in Kuwait, Turkey and Cyprus. Taken together, all of this will have a cascading effect. China’s food shortage alone will be felt by many nations that depend on Chinese exports to feed their populace.
The writer at the Ice Ager Farmer, sees this as the Elite engineering a “gradual controlled collapse.” Their goal is mapped out in Agenda 2030. The population reduced, moved out of the countryside and into ‘stack-n-pack’ megacities. They are playing the “long game.” An example of this can be found in the fact that after the northern California fires, they won’t build single family housing in those area anymore. They are pushing people to move to ‘smart cities.’ In Australia, the same thing. Won’t rebuild in ‘wild-fire-prone’ areas. It’s all part of a plan being played out. If you can’t insure your home, you can’t get a mortgage, property values fall, and you are forced to move.[vi]
All of this is beginning to have its affect on the markets. The Dow took major, record setting falls two days in a row this week, before a very modest recovery on Wednesday. Gold is moving up, as it always does in crisis times.
What we are seeing is NOT the official beginning of the Tribulation. But we could be witnessing the set up. God often accomplishes His purposes through the working out of history. There will be a time of great famine during the Tribulation. Here are the words of Revelation 6:5-6 rendered from the New Living Translation. “When the Lamb broke the third seal, I heard the third living being say, ‘Come!’ I looked up and saw a black horse, and its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice from among the four living beings say, ‘A loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley will cost a day’s pay. And don’t waste the olive oil and wine.’” What we could be seeing is the preparing of conditions to make such a dire famine possible. What we most certainly are witnesses to, is the manipulation of factors to achieve an end, that end being Agenda 2030 and the establishment of the New World Order with its Global Government, Total Control and the eventual rise of the Antichrist.
